I have bought lots of odd numbers in the last few years. He could cash out £25 & buy £36. He will probably need to cash out by post though. I had to so that I could avoid cashing my 2 very old ones otherwise they cash the oldest first & strictly speaking I only own £1.50 of those £2.

You can only buy in 25s now. He is no longer UK Resident so can't buy any more anyway. They send them a cheque when they win, and won't do bank transfers outside UK. So much hassle for the poor dears 🤣. First world problems eh?
My shopping trip was a disaster.
I actually found what I wanted, tried it all on, but it was all too big. Then I just laughed. N3xt is lying to itself if it thinks I am a size M. Who exactly is falling for that one?? 😅 Found two fab knitted dresses as well - now as someone who is 2.5" above the 'average UK woman height' (apparently the average is a mere 5'3") why are 90% of dresses still too long for me?....she asks the Universe, which just silently continues spinning, and does not answer.
Anyway, I failed to buy clothes or coats as they did not have the right size in stock. So, after 3 hours of trying , I came home.
DH had made a most delicious Dahl, it is piddling down outside, so I have sacked off the cocktail bar tonight as well.
I lost my NSD for nothing. Boo!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I miss principles - they actually used to do things that fitted. Back then I was 5'3" no I haven't grown but shrunk an inch. One of the penalties of growing older but way way better than the alternative. I still have a couple of dresses that I love, but so rarely have an occasion to wear them. The trousers I got have fallen apart now but I found Tigi was quite good. Also once you found a size that fit properly then anything by them in that size also fitted. Which cannot be said of all makes.

F0xh0les, do persist. It took me three towns and many, many shops before I found clothes that both fitted and brought me joy today. Wh1te stuff and Cr3w clothes, if it helps.

I find clothes shopping traumatic. I have not been below a D cup since I was 14, and in the late 80s / early 90s it massively reduced choice. Luckily corsets and bodices and pvc worked well, but I think I am a bit too old for that.
I am watching The Cure on BBC2 right now. I tried and failed to get tickets for yesterday.
I just need to be brave and try every shop in the hell-to-me. that is the huge out of town retail park . I am pretty much monochromatic , but I am not happy with what is under the clothes, so that needs to be addressed, and it will be, but I just need a couple of bits that I want to wear whilst I get the rest under control.
Urgh!

I totally relate to hating buying clothes and it being easier when slimmer ….
Do persist. It is so worth it when you find something you actually like … I promise.KKAs at 15.08.25:
