Currently pensions don't fall into IHT but in the small print they said they would at some point in the future. Until there is more detail then who knows? I can't remember if USS has minimum payment period or if you have made AVCs (I hope so or my boys get nothing out of my USS or mine and their late fathers transferred to PPF contributions). It'll depend on the wording like everything. For my boys and our house and my pension pot and depending on circumstances could push them into IT. Worth keeping an eye on.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

The break was fab, long walks, much complaining about long walks, a happy half hour playing 2p slot machines, coffee, beaches, and sunshine. Lots of exploring.
All the kids wanted to come with me, and it meant I didn't sit home at night and fret about DH and him being in America with a seriously dodgy knee. We came 4th out of 12 in a pub quiz ( me DS1 and DS3 - the other two stayed with their computers in their rooms)
He is ringing his doctor on Thursday. He can't go on like this. He is very upset about the budget. The sector is screwed - in his opinion.

Good news! another £250 on the PBs (thank you PB fairy) for this month, yes I stayed up past midnight just to check . Bad news, I seem to have twanged a muscle in my shoulder, by sitting on the sofa typing (???), and have had to give various volumes of YELP! when extending my arm to grab a cup of tea off the coffee table (tea table?).Have had a hot bath this morning, did lots of stretching of arm and shoulder while hanging off the side of the bed (oh the glamour!). Luckily DH is wise to my oddities and just fetched the painkillers and V0ltarol gel - neither of which has done anything, but the long hot water bottle snake was most welcome, and **HEADS UP*** the fluffy ones will be on Aldee special buy next week for £6.99, much recommended by moi - in my best Miss Piggy voice.Today will be a craft fair, a possible lunch out, a trip hunting a winter coat that does not make me look like a caterpillar or a hotdog, and a jumper or two that I actually want to wear, and a cocktail tonight to celebrate Mr Donald Watson who coined the term Vegan 80 years ago, and any excuse to go out and meet new people is welcome at the minute.Happy November!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I am on a 4% return with one month left to go, which I am happy with. The most I have won in a month is £600, the least was £25. It is safe gambling. I am playing the long game with this one, plus it is jolly good fun.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

My pathetic £50 win is dropping me down. At one point last year I actually made 6%. Still as they say speculate to accumulate. I want that million. Yes I know never going to happen. I am just grateful that although I am not lucky I am not unlucky either. Well unless you count the 2 I have from 1957. Still as I had kept them updated they did make opening the online account with NS&I easier. I'll count that as a win.

Nothing won for either of the kids' £150 of bonds ( they still think it is a scam) .4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
