  • Looks great -velux windows make such a difference. Is the new room part of the old eaves? or is it an extension over something eg a garage roof??

How can you hate a window?! I suppose if its barred and you locked in ...
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Not often that happens is it.  One house I lived in you could get into next door via the loft as the dividing wall didn't go all the way up.  That could have got interesting.  There is no way I would tolerate that now.

Totally user error.  We know better than to stick our hands on electrical components. Just forgot to turn it off again.  Grr.  It did make DS3 and DS4 confess to both having given themselves a shock sticking their fingers into lamps.  Flippin' idiots.
