Just give me 2 weeks, the last ridge tile appears to be missing (they might have to cut it to size, I dunno, they disappeared like salt in a rainstorm ) and I mentioned DS3's bedroom carpet was wet yesterday morning, so they might have decided to leave the scaffold up until it rains. Either way they have left their ladder, so they will be back. I have asked that they clear the gutters of slate chips before they go as well, or I am going to have problems because the gutters are full of slate, wood chips, and now moss off the roof.Went charity shopping this morning, managed five before having to come home for the early kick off football match, so might go back out again later. Spent £7 on 6 C-word decorations, 2 mugs and 3 long sleeved T-shirts to wear under jumpers. Dieting is going well, so I am flippin' freezing.Just going to concentrate on the laundry today while it is dry, so I can set it off, and disappear, and set it off and disappear. Think I am going a little bit stir crazy with feeling like I have had to be in the house to wait for the mythical scaffolders, and then roofy-types, to lock up the back for them when they wander off without telling anyone.Anyway the roof looks beautiful, it is Spanish slate and it is a similar shape and colour to what was there originally, it fits right in and I love it.. The dormer had some rot, so that has been fixed, and they have slated the sides of them so there should not be a problem again.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hi Foxholes, delurking from Oz to ask what program Dr FH was being interviewed for? Glad your roof is finally being being sorted. Getting trades to do anything is a nightmare and it is obviously no better in the UK.3
