Depending on the type of landlord they are you may not get a quick response. If you handed it over last Thursday then that's only 3 working days ago, and if they decide they want to get some legal advice then they may be looking for one who specialises in house issues, or they may need to wait a week for an appointment etc. Or they may be going "We'll take a look at this once we've got the kids back at school".

Of course it would be nice if they could message you to let you know that, or at least confirm they've received the documents. But this might be something where patience gets you further in the long run.

Yeah, he is a man in his mid 60s and as he had the next door house totally refurbished the year before we moved in here, he knows the work that needs to be done on these old houses. 
One roofer chap came round this afternoon and will rework the quote - he thinks it might go up 5/10% because of costs, but also said they might just honour the original quote to keep their team in work, he will let me know.  All it will take is one big storm, or heavy snow and I will be roofless. 😭So it is getting done. End of.  At least that bit does not need a party wall agreement 🤣.  I don't even think it matters when the loft extension gets done at the minute, until it is done I still need to be watertight. Even if they have to undo it. The risk is currently too great to leave it now. 
Still no contact with the loft extension man either..... Oh well every day of silence is one day closer to something happening with the party wall agreement .

Yes a waterproof house is much more important than a lovely refurbished one inside.  Cant imagine though that a good roofer would need the work to keep team busy.  Most builder type trades are jam packed at the moment. Nothing wrong in getting him to quote though.

They have a team of 40 roofers at the minute,  no doubt some stop over winter,  and some will be wanting to pay off their summer holiday spends now the kids are back at school.  Either way, soon I will have a firm roof.

I will not relax until I hear the dulcet screaming of the scaffolders🤣.  It is coming though.

Well they have been quite well behaved, and I have been exceptionally accommodating. They leave tomorrow.
