Non Turning Up Roofer texted for the address again, then texted back immediately that he had just been and looked and it was too big a job for him.  Utter Time-wasting Twonk!

I have potted on everything I bought this morning. Poor things were utterly pot bound.  Even the two lavenders are in their final places - I dislike lavender, it gives me a headache and makes me feel nauseous. but the bees love it, and to be fair the bees spend more time outside than I do.  I have taken a couple of cuttings from the Pinks, and they are in water on the kitchen window sill and hopefully will turn into some plants.  The french beans have started to sprout, the nasturtiums are up. the gladioli are waist height, the lonely geranium has perked up already, and all my pots and containers are looking good!

 I need to clean the paddling pool again - no doubt it will be in use soon, even if just for sticking my feet in to keep cool; if the blow up rings are still sound -otherwise, there is no point having it.

I am definitely allergic to cardboard, I come up in great big weals when I touch the stuff and rip it up for the recycling, another one to add to the list.

The Postman never came....so I am now officially a basketcase until Tuesday.  A lovely looking basketcase in my long flowing summer dress, because it is warm, and sunny, and it does nobody any good sat in the wardrobe.

Oh, and I disposed of Emma's corpse. Now to find out if there is a Daniel (Ratcliffe) or if Emma just wore really clunky boots.

I was going to ask if all pests had now been evicted. Shame about the builder but at least he admitted it was too much for him before he started and then decided this.  Would have been better a few weeks back though.

Sorry the postman didn't bring the letter.  It always feels such a long wait when you know there is something on its way.

I hope the sun stays out and you get to enjoy the lovely long weekend.

It is very unhelpful that there are no postal deliveries on Sundays or BH Mondays at times when you really need them!! 😉

Today has been sponsored by Aussie G0ld Hunters. All day.  As distraction therapy - it is not helping.

Tomorrow  (Tues) once my charity dd's and kids regular saver money go out,  I will have £3.82 until Wednesday. So a loaf of bread and a bag of spuds is about all I can afford from the budget.  I have managed to get away with a sub £200 credit card bill - including £75 on a new tyre,  last month it was £900, so that is a win.  

Did a little bit of banking admin and closed 3 savings accounts that only had 1p in. The interest rate is pants, so to stop me from putting anything in at a rubbish rate, I have closed them. 

June should be the month that I find out how much I am going to have as regular expendable income.

July is my biggest earning month so that will all be riches, diamonds, and rubies.

Last night DS1 made supper for himself and his brothers, DS4 made lunch today, DS3 is busy in the kitchen right now, making a pumpkin pie,  and DS2 and DS3 are on the calendar for making a meal this week.   I figured that if they were at home this week, I would not bake for them, and they can do it themselves, and that they should all make a meal at least once.

DH and I are dieting, so we are eating lunch, but pretty much restricted to cup soup, salad, or fruit salad at all other times.  It is going really well.  DH is very unhappy with his weight, and this way should see him dropping at least 4lb in his first week, more like 6lb if he does not sneak bits of bread or cream crackers   I can control nothing else right now, so the diet at least is within my control.

Good to see the clan are helping with the meal prep 😊 I made a rhubarb crumble for the first time ever today (how did I get to the age of 52 without doing that?? 😂) with chopped Brazil nuts in the crumble - it was really, really good. Mr KK delight

Really hoping you get some news tomorrow. Sending a hug (((((Foxholes))))) in the meantime. Would trying something like the 4:7:8 breath technique help?

Not even if something coming in the post tomorrow was guaranteed!   Can't turn my brain off, but at least I can ring the surgery tomorrow to see if they have heard anything.
