It took them until 6pm to take the flippin test, BUT  they have tested every day since with exceptionally bad grace.

DH tested positive this morning, they have just  scarpered to another relative the length of the country away, they are still in denial, but it is slowly becoming clear to them that they have come to the centre of the zombie-plague-victim-circle from the safe place they have been living, and  f-i-l is slowly coming to the conclusion that maybe it was not such a good idea to come.... however, as long as they do not catch it, I am sure they will carry on carrying on.

If they do catch it, my house is now a diseased place for them to recuperate.   Yay me!

They still think everyone else is being unreasonable for not wanting to meet up with them.

For Flippety, Flippin' Flip's Sake!! They have been in their safe(ish) little bubble in rural seclusion, and even though they have been in a house with DS4 being positive(albeit in his room) they were convinced it would not affect them, until DH marched in to the living room this morning saying he was pregnant too.  Then they quickly got on the phone, arranged alternate accommodations, rang other family to meet up with, and looked on with horror until their tests said negative, and off they Fcked.  Very upset with someone who said they did not want to see them,  very angry at the idea they would take it with them.

Utterly in denial. Madness!!

However, I now have my house back to myself, 2 covid positive members, 3 of us still negative, and what is worse, they took every test we had in the house with them, saying - you can get more easier than we can....

In other bizarre news, I have just found a toasted crumpet in the middle of the backyard.  Today is bin day, so maybe a fox, or a cat, or a  drunk crumpet-frisbee player, or a rat??  Just odd.

Had to ring the 119 number to order the tests - I went down to the chemist to ask for boxes of tests, they told me I had to get a code, I went on the website to get a code, the website told me it could not confirm who I was so would not give me a code, so I had to ring the number, talk to a very apologetic man who said Boris changed the system and they got an email last week to say anyone who wants a test has to register online and get a code, take it to the chemist, and then, and only then, could they issue you with a box of tests. Oh, and if you want it for more than one person, you need a code for each person. 

So I now have tests again. A load of laundry in the dryer, and a lot of washing up that I am very bravely ignoring.

DH is teaching his lecture online, and being streamed to the lecture hall.  He says he is going to continue teaching for as long as he is able and is hoping for a mild dose, and lots of naps. 

If DS3 tests positive in the next 24 hours I will just let them have the run of the house. I slept in the same room as DH who was still testing negative last night at 6pm but was positive by 9am. I am resigned to getting it.

Utterly bl00dy DS2 just tested positive too- surprising since he has not left his room except to eat.

  So DS3 has taken to his bedroom in fright and wants room service.

The sounds of coughing are getting louder  ......

Told dh about the crumpet - "bl00dy crows! " he said - now I have the image of a disappointed looking crow sat on the top of our chimney looking down at his crumpet in a puddle.
