Well I have achieved!Got up early, I have broken my watch strap, and my watch is my silent vibrating alarm clock on my wrist. The traffic sounded heavy, so I assumed it was quite late - turns out it was 5.55. But I was downstairs by the time I found that out, so had breakfast and got on with the day.The mattresses turned up at 10am, by which time I had already taken down DS4s double bed, moved his (1 year old) mattress to DS1's bed, took DS1's 5 year old mattress down to the ground floor, moved DS4s bed frame down one level, to DS2's room, and built DS4s single bed. So when the men delivered the mattresses, DS4's went straight on the bed, the room got moved around (bed under the eaves now, so the room looks bigger) and hoovered. By which time I was knackered, so I did some laundry, gave new bedding to DS1, put new bedding on for DS4, gave DS2 his new bedding, and went off to make lunch. After lunch DS2 and I took down his metal bed, moved it to ground floor, put up DS4's old (or DS2's new) bed and unrolled the new mattress, so that will be ready for him to sleep on once it has grown to its proper size.By then I was knackered again, so came and did some more laundry, sat on the sofa with a cup of tea, DH announced he was exhausted and has gone off for a nap (thinking is very tiring!).I have prepped supper, will put it all to the heat in a minute, we are having kievs, mash, corn, green beans, peas, and carrots. Will have to trawl the c/s for single duvet covers and sheets. Found a single duvet in the airing cupboard (I thought it was a double, but had a double and a single in there in the same bag), and a blue duvet cover set that I bought with free 'Big River' vouchers from tv survey wins.So there. Everyone has a nice comfy bed except me, and I am next on the list.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hard life poor dh has, like actors, he seems to spend a lot of time 'resting'
but it is actually really funny the amount of times he gets half way through the washing up and shouts ' I've had an idea!!!' and runs off to write it down before he forgets whatever it is he has thought about, to return 10 minutes later. It is the time in-between the active thinking, when he switches off, that the ideas pop into his head.
Not when he is asleep though, then it is all dinosaurs and space exploration.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today has been a day of surprises and revelations.DS4 got a Blue Peter badge through the post!If you ice cheap soft bread rolls, they become iced fingers. Magic. Wow!I regularly get given free bread rolls, I have a massive box of icing sugar in the pantry, and strawberry flavoured pink chemical cake stuff in a tiny bottle, and salted caramel, and almond, and cocoa powder - the list is endless.£79 left in the budget until Monday.Step-gran rang, she had a dd on her bank account for £800+ she did not recognise and was in a flap - quick g00gle and it seems it is the rates from the council - they have just decided to change the billing name to LPS - Land and Property Services. Not the name of the council. So that got her back off the ceiling, and then she decided she could not hear ( selective hearing of the over 80's) and toddled off happy as Larry, probably to ring someone else and bother the life out of them.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Just realised now I am back with the free stamp survey thing, I will also get the bonus points, which can be traded for 'BigRiver' vouchers, and I can buy stuff for free again!! Also the unaddressed surveys pay out in £5 increments. Well worth doing for free cash and 30 seconds work a week. And talking of work, there is a part time position come up at the volunteering-thing, only 16 hours a week, but £10 an hour and can be done from home. I have watched the last 3-4 people hired just spectacularly crash and burn due to personality conflicts / being nutters / self-identifying as The Invisible Man (that one was bizarre!). So this time I might actually go for it. I mean, I could not do worse that the last one - that was just sit back and eat popcorn entertaining.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Go for it!

Yes go for it, but think about how it would impact your very busy routine. 16 hours a week is a lot of hours to make up doing other things, just as £160 a week is a nice bonus if you can live without the time.
Its also a very MSE amount to earn as its just enough to qualify for NI Credits without actually paying any NI (Lower Earnings Limit (qualify) is £130 or so a week and primary threshold (start paying 12% NI is at £180). I know you will be covered by Child Benefit giving you credits for a good while, but they will stop eventuallyI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine5 -
I believe NI credits stop when your youngest child is 12 , so not very long after primary ends. But you do only need 35 altogether so you should have some leeway.
