I to would be furious. Surely the school is aware that the 2 policies are contradictory. As you say HoY is being a wuss. I would wanting to tell the school that the next time one of my children is ill I will be sending them in regardless.
You would think it wouldn't take a genius to only print the letters where the unexplained absences reach the trigger point. If they wrote the query properly in the first place situations like yours wouldn't arise.

You are doing the socially responsible thing and keeping your ds home when he is ill, even if schools were not aware of the concept before you would think CV19 may have educated them.

If my dd is ill with virtually anything she gets a fever, she has been like since she eas a baby and over a decade later she has yet to grow out of it. I would not be sending her to school with a fever (medication only takes the edge off). She has a fever for 5+ days at least a couple of times a year, schools just wouldn't understand.

I am so incensed on your behalf.

I have just received the absolute worst gift ever.  36 toilet rolls.  I do not care if they are environmentally friendly.   It is not a present, in the same way a bottle of washing up liquid is not a present, or a  box of tampons is not a present.

You are not alone Foxholes - I was also gifted 36 novelty loo rolls for Christmas. I mean really! They are bulky and annoying and it p’d me right off. I blame the merciless FriendFace advertising by a certain loo roll company.
