Great news everyone is fit, well and not pregnant
Hmmm, wonder how a Hygiene 60 wash differs from a normal 60 as you'd expect a 60 wash to be hygienic anyway 🤔
I washed out carpets today, they're a colour that shows up everything (came with the house but won't bec replaced until everything else upstairs is done) so borrowed a lovely friend's V@x. The water was the colour of hot chocolate!
Fingers crossed on the beds, its grear getting things ticked off isn't it.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

DS2s divan base has one corner that resembles a ski slope. If he didn't leap on the thing, it would not have happened!A big wooden sturdy bedbase is what the bounder needs.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today turned into an unexpected NSD. I am down to my last 2 litres of milk so must buy another crate tomorrow, but that is all budgeted for. I got up and baked the kids their lunchbox pasties, and then went and woke them up, and did the school run and came straight home to try and disembowel my broken washing machine that is currently being a garden ornament. So got the case off, but cannot undo the flywheel thing that holds the drum on. I want the drum for a fire pit. So I made a jelly while I thought about it, and went and removed a few other bits that can go into the bin and weeded and tidied up a lot of pots ready for winter. Then the phone rang and I had to go and collect DS4 who had told school he had been sick. I took their temperatures before they left this morning and all were fine. He came home and tried to shark my lunch!! There does not appear to be much wrong with him, he had a cup of tea and went off to read his book, and appeared downstairs again after I brought his brothers home after school and he wanted their snacks too. He is on limited rations and boring food only for today, but can't go back to school til Monday as they have the 48 hour rule for vomiting. Joy.DH has been diagnosed with a frozen shoulder and told he is doing everything right, and he has a physio session booked so he knows what to do til it hurts, and when to stop before he injures himself. It can take up to 5 years to get better and he may only get 95% of his movement back, so he is focusing on that, and I am helping him distract himself by letting him make a South Indian curry for tonight. See how good I am???Went to the c/s but the bed was still on the van, so told to come back in an hour, but then I had to go and get the kids, and do snacks and then I fell into the washing up bowl for ages - I had to dry up 2 times during the washing up as there was no room for anything else. I need to get back into the habit of cleaning up straight after Supper - the kids are using more and more bowls and plates and cups and it is getting ridiculous now. They need to start to help out more. I will bring it up at suppertime. It has been really warm today, but suddenly at about 3pm it clouded over and it is now quite chilly. It is dark when I get up in the morning now, and dark when the smalls are sent to bed. Autumn is well and truly here, and the leaves were falling off the trees when we were driving home from school. It feels autumnal. The lady in the c/s told me that they will be getting deliveries 3x a week from now on, and they have a huge backlog of stuff to be collected from the public. So that bodes well for getting new bed frames.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Still bedframe-less over here. The people in the county are losing their sanity about having a local lockdown imposed on them. The parks being closed from 5pm - 7am is properly setting them off - there was a group of 150 in the park after school one night and even though they are allowed to be in a bubble that size in their school, as soon as they leave the school grounds they are expected to split off into little hives of 6 and not mingle. Then when they get home, they are not allowed anyone in who does not live there. Not in the house, not in the garden unless there is only one adult in the house.2 adult households may adopt a single person to be in a bubble with (such as a mistress) but not another couple (swinging). If you are a single parent of 4 and your friend is a single parent of 3, you are permitted to break the rule of 6. However my friend, who is in the unfortunate situation of having 5 children, a dog, and a husband (who is responsible for her having all 5 kids), was turned away from two establishments today, after a long country walk, as they were told they were only allowed to serve groups of 6 people. Personae non gratae. There is no room for discretion is seems. The house is pretty clean and tidy, cleared another square meter in the yard, only about half a square meter left, but I will sort that on Tuesday when the bin goes. All food from stores, made a big vegetable soup with soup mix and grated a sweet potato in as well to hide it and use it up. Eve's pudding (apple sponge) with custard got rid of the last 11 of the scrumped apples, and supper was baked potatoes, coleslaw, beans and cheeze. Made a sponge for the lunchboxes, and have iced it and decorated with glace cherries.I am down to my last 1.5 litres of milk again. Will have to buy more tomorrow morning after the school run. Always running out of milk, I need to buy it 16 at a time, 8 only last 3 days.Got asked to apply for a job, just a little part time one, but to be honest, now is not the right time for me to be committing to being anywhere, even for 8 hours a week. I do not know what DH's teaching schedule will look like, or where he is going to be, based at home, on site, only going in for lessons, or what! Any one of the 4 year groups my kids are in could close down with less than 12 hours notice, and expected to self isolate for 10 days. Then it could happen again the next day, or the next week. Then half term, and a possible 2 week lockdown, and I am already getting enough stick about 'always being at work' (2hrs one evening and 7 hours over 2 days while they are in school anyway). The kids and DH are going into plague pits! I really cannot see myself as a good bet for a reliable worker. All the kids are down with sore throats (perfectly normal at this time of year) and are beginning a raft of tests to see what, if anything they have retained of their teaching up til the school closures. Hence they are ratty as all hell, and extremely uncooperative if asked to do anything more than eat a large quantity of cake.It is one week until DS2's 16th birthday. He wants nothing. So I have requested people send him an am4z0n gift card, or a book token, as they have long dates on them and he might think of something later. He has returned to his normal twitty nature and is critical of everything in general and me in particular - (he informs me he is no longer talking to me as I am stupid) as I am asking him to revise for the tests and he is unwilling.Urgh!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I have an absolutely stinking head cold. I am so bored of it already.Picked up my glasses - they had 75% right, 25% the wrong prescription, but they sorted it all in one day and I picked up the corrected 2 pairs on the way to get the kids from school. Trying to get used to having 'reading glasses', it is not easy. I keep looking up and out, and wondering why I can't see.Found a 1.5m x 1.5m net of star shaped fairy lights for the front window in December in a c/s for £4 so nabbed them, and two nice wicker wastepaper baskets that might turn into plant pot hider/holders.I have £27 left for the rest of the month, or I will have to blow the budget. 7 days til payday. Took out £100 for DS2's birthday present, will put it in a card for him and drag him into town to spend/bank it.Still not put any pictures on walls, still not put any mirrors on walls, those things should be done tomorrow. They are on the list, and I want them done by Thursday, cos I get nothing done on Thurs as I volunteer from 9-2 and then pick up the kids.I really did not enjoy the alarm going off this morning. It is not often that I do not bound out of bed with a smile on my face and run to my beloved coffee machine who is always happy to see me. This cold is seriously annoying me. So tomorrow is kids to school, self care, spot of drilling, school run, and touting for roofers.Night night.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Ugh, sorry to hear you have a cold too, i swear everyone is picking them up this year after us all having to stay away from each other and being grounded by BoJo. Its like we've all turned into adult sized school children picking up all the bugs atm. Hope you feel better soon.
Am always in awe of your charity shop finds, I rarely find anything of note in ours, bar two of four exact books a friend was looking for back in March.
Maybe i need to go to the posh ones in the village nearby.
Well it's been a long time since I've had a curfew of 10pm, still its obviously a late night virus like wee willy winky and will be running through the town trying to get us to go out at 10.01pm. So we'll be fine, so long as we're all home by then 🙄 oh, and he can't get us if we're sat down in the pub either...only standing up. 🤦♀️Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I don't want Boris waving anything about near me, or that Govey chap either or Raaaaaaaaaaab (shudder)First idiot roofer came an hour early - he was the one that suggested 11am, so he came just before 10., I had cleaned, tidied and hoovered the top two floors, bleached all the banisters and door knobs and light switches, and he stands outside the house looks at the roof, and then quotes for for clay tiles when I want slate, but he tells me I don't want slate - he's 73, he knows what I want, and then quotes £8,500 for something I don't even want. Cheers mate! See ya! Twonk. Honestly! So, before 10am the house was bleached, clean, tidy and hoovered up to the door of the back room where dh is working.DS2 and 3 are off school with coughs, before the school can send them home for having coughs. They have used 4 boxes of tissues between the 2 of them since Wednesday morning so I am not worried. Being a sn0t monster is a sign of having a cold, not C0vid. 3 days of sneezing, followed by 4 or 5 days of coughing is the normal schedule for them, so we are well on the track to health. Sadly I could no longer lie down at 3am without coughing, so spent a jolly 2 hours with NCIS NOLA and a hot chocolate on the sofa. There was no point in disturbing dh with my coughing, so I took myself away, and will just get on with things. I am telling myself I just got up 3 hours early today.Idiot DS2 had a hot can of cola on top of his Ex-box which was on the verge of exploding - it was totally distorted, so I grabbed that and threw it in the back yard where it split and fountained all over the place. The Idiot is trying to kill his Eggbox and burn down the house. What can you do?? They just look at you with a slightly embarrassed expression when you stand there and explain their foolishness and say 'Oh, I was wondering why that was changing shape'. Aaargh!!So it seems today is going to be sponsored by idiot men/boys who do not listen.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Oh, and I cashed out £25 of cashback last night, and earned £5 on p/a, so the budget may just be saved by 'ambient earnings'. I was down to my last £25 til Wednesday payday. So I have doubled that, and I think I only need a loaf of bread this weekend. CC bill was just over £300 -will have to come out of payday money.
