Oh poor Mr CM!!!
That is just too funny.
DH went across the road (all of 50 metres if that) to pick up some coconut milk (he wanted to cook tonight, and it was not on the list, so it is veg stew tomorrow instead) he saw 31 people and he was the only one wearing a mask. I cannot see how this is going to get any better while people keep acting like everything is normal.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

When I last went shopping 13 days ago only 2 of out of the 50 customers (no I didn't count them, I just know how many customers they allow in the store at once, they were queueing to get it) were wearing masks, 4%. Only 2 of us were wearing gloves. I was the only one who was wearing both., what is wrong with people.

Can I put my snacking down to growth spurts too...or is that unlikely at middle age - which would suggest I'm just a pigStill, did make it out for a run this morning - did an extra mile more than planned as got a little carried away.

DH colleague got made a Prof. yesterday, so himself is all happy (collegiality and all that jazz) his friend is progressing professionally, and is feeling a bit more secure that the promotion process is still carrying on in the background - we should know his fate in the next 3 weeks. He is such a team player I have no idea how we are married.Grey rainy rubbish day again. Feeling a bit ick. Going volunteering til after lunchtime. Then deep cleaning the ground floor. Making a tip pile. Got the 2 smallest to declutter their bedroom bookcases. There is a mass of Be4stQuest books I might be able to sell on. Might make a couple of quid. Also some school trousers I can shunt sideways, and how many football cards???I think I might make an 'end of term' cake party tomorrow. Some way to mark the passage of time.I have not had a piece of cake for 22 days now. Well, it was a birthday scone and a bit of excessively healthy flapjack, can't actually remember the last time I had actual cake.... it might have been April. I am due a slice.I have a list, I have a plan, I have football to watch at 6pm.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

You definitely deserve an end of term slice of cake.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Wow, that's a big deal. A lot of universities have suspended/delayed promotion processes so great that DH's is still running. Got my fingers crossed for him!Choose kind7

He is going for Associate Prof. not full-fat Prof, but yeah, pretty big deal and we are just waiting to find out if he has got it or not..... end of July apparently.Masses of fresh fruit and veg at the f/bank today, I love it when it looks more like a market stall than a empty foyer. Anyway, it is a stinking day, chucked it down with rain continuously. All the leftovers - 2 portions of chili and 3 portions of veg curry - were used up by the boys for lunch, so tonight is a perfect night for a veg stew and rosemary dumplings and they can hog out on bread.Still feel ick, but more TOTM ick than actually ill. This weather is not conducive to getting anything done except looking out the window and sighing. Nearly finished another book (whoop whoop!).DS4 did his final Z00m call for year 5 this afternoon so I think a cake-fest is due tomorrow. There needs to be some kind of letting go memorial to the school year that never really started. His teacher next year is one of those teachers who is a total star. She does not believe in homework, thinks the kids should learn in the classroom and just be kids outside of it. They make so much progress in one year it is amazing. I am looking forward to DS4 having her for a year.I have kept all the age 10-11 trousers, and the shorts, but his white shirts are ruined. So will be on the lookout for those. They will be ruined within the first week (he is that kind of kid) but for one week he will not look like a trash badger. Will need new school shoes and possibly a new school fleece. So not much to be spent on him. He just had a new coat for school so hopefully that will still fit.DS3 will need new trousers and shoes and trainers - pretty much everything else can be passed down.DS2 may well need new trousers as he has grown about 3 feet, new shoes, new trainers (size 9 at 15 years old)DS1 could do with a few new clothes, but he is totally not bothered by fashion and lives in a pair of jeans, a t shirt, and his DMs. So not hugely expensive for the return to school kit out. I will keep an eye open when the c/shops reopen. All old kit will go to the cloth recycling bank. It is unusable for anything other than rags. My kids wear their clothes hard. The loo in the bathroom is leaking again, so we have turned it off. They have 2 other loos to chose from, and this way they can still use the sink and bath. Very interested in the govt new green deal thing - wonder if a new boiler will be part of the deal. The question is whether to keep on firefighting the bits breaking in the bathroom, or go the whole hog, get it all done, but then not be able to change the boiler without having to redo things again. Will see what other details come out over the next week or so.It is ridiculous I have saved £15k and I am living with a bucket in the loftspace under a hole in the roof, and a scuzzy bathroom. This needs to stop now. When it is safe to do so, I am getting a workman in for more quotes...4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

We had our boiler replaced a few(?) weeks ago. But there are only 3 of us in the house. 2 blokes on day 1; just 1 on day 2. So, apart from being locked in, you could surely get quotes?

It is still not classed as 'essential' and there is a ban on all non-essential travel in Le Shire They are not even supposed to come and quote over here until it is lifted after the 18th.

It's worth calling round to ask whether anyone can come round to look/quote as soon as lockdown is lifted.6
