Just a normal quantity of satsumas in our house, for some reason this week they ate all the apples and pears, most of the bananas, all the grapes and strawbs, but left the peaches, nectarines and satsumas. There is no telling what they will eat and when. I do the once a week shop on a Monday, and by now the fruitbowl is usually decimated, but they will eat practically anything in a crumble.

Oh yes crumbles wonderful for using up fruit that's past it's best. If I don't have enough for a crumble I freeze the fruit until I do.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

If I didn't have enough fruit for a crumble in the house, I think the kids would stage a rebellion. The 'emergency bag of berries' in the freezer has saved me many a time. Won't be long before I can go blackberrying again. Free food from the hedge.

I've just finished last year's rasps + goosegogs. Luckily, my new rasps are now fruiting so I'm not bereft!

I'm looking forward to picking blackberries, and apples from the trees in the garden. Lots of free fresh fruit and lots of crumble bases, apple, apple and blackberry, hedgerow etc.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Just finished a very painfully long 4way Scrabble game with DS1/3/4. DS 3&4 live to put down 3 and 4 letter words just to sod everything up and block other people. DS1 was getting quite irate. Very funny, all good clean brotherly bonding, but sooo annoying.

Morning! Today is the anniversary of my birth, so Yay to me for surviving 46 yrs on planet Earth.DH gave me all the things I need to make my own candles.I am up to 12.7 again as I have eaten a little bit more - I am going to give blood this afternoon so thought it was a good idea - and still only 3lbs til I begin my new exercise regime. I am wearing a frock and I look lovely. DH has his bike set up in the back room, has been cycling every other day and has dropped weight like a good'un - he is down to 12.4 (6lbs to go). His pants now have a saggy elastic waistline where his body used to be, but is no longer. He is very happy whilst in utter shoulder agony. He is actually getting quite slinky. Father's day may include pants - it is not romantic, but it will make him happy every time he gets dressed.I tried on my 'aspirational dress' this morning and I could just get the zip up at the side - but I would not wear it yet. So I am at the top end of a fitted non stretch size 16 with side zip - I am betrayed by a larger than average bust size. Absolutely not complaining though! No wonder the lovely size 18 dress is baggy. Will try and tighten up a few of the side darts - it looks doable. So today is a trip into town for the first time since lockdown. The kids have requested doughnuts from their fave doughnut shop (it is very close to the blood donation point ) and a trip to H&B and dropping off a birthday cheque to my bank, and going into the Shanghai Bank to find out where my flippin' new credit card is, and to try and get myself onto internet banking with them, and spending my free S&M £3 voucher either on Colin the Caterpillar sweets, or hummus.I have a £20 H0mebase voucher from Aunt of DH, so that will be a bag of compost and some ceramic plant pots and then later on I will pot up my chilli plants.Yesterday, after supper I taught DS3 to knit with some Hurly Burly chunky yarn and big wooden knitting needles, and his scarf is now over 4 feet long. It is only 15 stitches wide, but he thinks he is a genius and is loving it. Life skill!DS4 has got the hump because DS3 is doing something he is not. DS4 is spending a lot of time having the hump. He is an outdoor football kid, who is being deprived of outdoor football fun with his mates. DS3 & 4 are making me birthday scones while I am out.Football begins again tonight. For which I am profoundly grateful. I have missed it muchly.Happy ME day everyone!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Happy birthday F0xh0les. I wish I could find some brilliant birthday emoji or cake or something but I haven't worked out that skill.
Enjoy the day, and remember calories don't count on your birthday anyway. Besides which, I bet a pint of blood has a mass of 1lb easily.
