My mortgage is now ................ £91,999.99 - ta dah!Daily interest of £4.53 (next goal is to get it below £4.50) so a monthly interest of £140.63. If I only overpay £80 a month, I will knock 2years and 3 months off the term (16 years down to 13 and 9 months ) and keep it at the £??,000.00 and £??,500.00 tidy sum endings. .So, after a little o/p of £80.10 I am sub £92k by a penny. My bank seems to be falling over today. So many problems trying to log in and I keep getting thrown out.... In addition to it being a first of the month on a Monday (always messes up the bills and credits).I went and filled up my little car to the brim for £26 this morning, instead of the £44 it has been costing me. Just in case petrol prices rise. Bought loo roll for the month, and salad veg for lunch - I am going ys shopping tonight after volunteering part deux. I hope to nab ALL the bargains, as I transferred £500 into savings this morning (I can claw it back if necessary). The plan for the rest of the year is to add £500 to the renovations account each month (me) so that there is a fund of £15k to draw on by Xmas, plus whatever dh has managed to save ( he just spent £90 on a room dividing screen and £200 on rollers for his bike last week - he is a muppet) I think he is relying on this promotion to fund the house works. I would rather save as well, but hey! I have learnt not to interfere or ask questions about what he does with his share of the money he earns. He is intimidated by my savings accounts. The amount of money I save a month scares him too, as he knows full well he wastes his on nonsense to make him feel better or to do his hobbies with. He does not want to look too closely at that. This morning I woke up weighing 12.10. I have not eaten an extra 2lb of food, but I did eat something quite salty, so I think I am retaining water. Not upset about it. It will go on its own soon. Next goal 12.7 - I was expecting it this morning, Maybe tomorrow instead.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Well done for not imploding at the various efforts or lack of with school work F0xh0les, DS1 would do my head in but he'll learn (i did, the hard way with very lax a-level work, scraped into uni and bucked my ideas up...not that i actually use my degree).
Nice to hear step gran is totally ignoring the fact we are not actually allowed to travel between countries atm, even within the uk (are allowed with exceptional reason? I've lost track of all the rules and who they do / don't apply to now).

New on Mulberry watch ..... they seem to look a bit like blackberries, they are getting bigger, they do not have a discernible flower, as such, just a fuzzy ball a bit like the covid virus image in pale green, then it just grew outwards and turned purple (as the actress said to the Bishop) and they just keep getting bigger! So there. As I know they are hallucinogenic when unripe, I am being tactical and offering up dh as ripeness guinea pig.Traffic here is mental. They were beeping horns at people pulling out of side streets and all sorts this morning. Not heard that since March! Everyone seems to be going back to work who can go back to work. I will be going into town on 17th to give blood, and not until then. I don't think I have been in to town since February. So will make a list of all the shops I want to go into to, and blitz the lot in one go.Yesterday DH had a video call from 11.00 - 12.00, then a hurried lunch, then setting up for DS1 who had a zoom maths lesson -12.30 for an hour - first proper teaching he has had. Then DH had another one from 2 for an hour. So I took the opportunity to lie on the sofa and finish my book and start another, and write lists of things to cook that will shift stuff out of the house and is quick and easy. Pantry management.Still stuck at 12.8 - someone had tried their hand at vegan baking and wanted a vegan to taste test - so I ended up eating 1/4 of a brownie and 1/2 a (not iced) bun out of politeness. I did not want it, but I could not back out and ended up being given lots for my kids. I think it was a diet sabotage move on their part. So, I have not lost weight, but I stayed the same, so they have not won!!!!Stewed a bag of frozen berries yesterday, so had some of those for breakfast with some soya cream, and a lovely coffee.Kids are having pesto pasta (with ys basil plants) to get rid of some angelhair pasta that has been knocking about the pantry for ages. I am having leftover veg soup - I had to take it out of the freezer to fit in all the kids ice poles and 79p ice cream.Supper tonight will be leek pasties and salad. The fruit bowl is full of tiny tangerines and apples and nectarines. I have 0cal fizz in the fridge, and all the water in the tap. I am in control of this.My plan for the day is folding laundry, cleaning, reading, feeding people, not going mad, having a bath and washing my hair. So nothing wildly exciting, but it is not outside, I am going outside tomorrow to volunteer. I have only been going out on Monday and Thursday for weeks now. There are very few people out and about where I am that are wearing a mask. About 1 in 25 in the supermarket on Monday night. They are not filling me with confidence.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thanks for the mulberry watch update.
When I went to the supermarket last week id say no more than 20% were wearing masks and a significant number didn't have their nose covered, one guy wore his so it only covered his chin and one mature lady kept touching her mask [facepalm emoji needed], overall I would say it all counts as a fail.
Staying level despite the diet sabotage is a win in my book.
The traffic has increased considerably over the last few weeks, saying that it has dropped significantly today, which is nothing to do with it raining today. Oh silly me I forgot you only want to do your ESSENTIAL travel on sunny days, but on rainy days people don't see the same things as essential.
I am only going out on Mondays or Thursday's to do the shopping and drop things off for my parents, who are shielding. One week I went out twice once to shop and once to deliver my parents share of the wholesale order as they were out of some essentials.
I am genuinely curious where everyone is going. Early April the roads were very quiet.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

The air has been scented with charcoal smoke every single lunch and dinner time for about the last ten days.🌭 So maybe they are all stocking up on bbq fuel in case the part of the national grid made of ice melts in the heat?🧊Also the amount of people crowded around the booze section in Aldee is horrific. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷Maybe they all need paracetamol and lucozade. Medical emergency. 🤒And now, have a random flamingo, after all, it is Wednesday 🦩4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
