GF oats do exist!!!! I have some in my cupboard! Even dd who is spectacularly extremely allergic to gluten can eat them.
NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8 -
Hence light blue touchpaper! She will not have it that they exist. Some herbalist about 10 years ago told her they still contained the dust from a bee's wing, whose grandparent bee once sniffed a flower next to a gluten containing oat and so it contains the 'remembrance' of gluten diluted a million times and would kill her if she had but a vague taste of 'the memory of oat' brought on the leg of a non-socially distancing pollinator. Or some such nonsense. She picks and chooses what she is allergic to, and what her magical digestive enzymes will allow her to tolerate (it changes between 'I can't eat it 'and 'I should avoid it', and 'I can have it in moderation')- she has never seen a doctor or any kind of medical professional for this, purely the lady behind the till at a health food shop and her alternative therapies mates.Just waved dh off, now have to sit and wait for him to return, did say if he ended up from waist to neck in plaster to give me a ring and I would come and rescue him+ car. He has stolen all my change. It is the closest we are going to get to a joint account. Swapping £1 coins. Although on my credit report the mortgage account is classed as a joint account. Had to do a double take!Right, off to feed kids lunch and then go and sit in the bath and make an effort to not worry myself into a babbling wreck until dh comes back from the plague pit that is the hospital building.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I actually laughed out loud and nearly wet myself reading the above post f0xh0les! She sounds a lot like someone I work with, who I haven't seen for ages so it really doesn't matter, but that reminded me of him.
I would have thought an oat yoghurt should be nice - a bit like porridge or something, but I'm going to accept your review and not risk it.
Hope dh is ok, and I wish I was doing even 10% as well as you at saving or weightloss.

DH was out of the house for less than 30 minutes, the hospital is 10 minutes drive away, and the parking machine was broken and not accepting money so it was free. Nothing boney is wrong, X-rays all back clear, so it is now wait for an MRI appointment - he has been through it all with his knee, so he knows what ripped cartilage feels like flapping about and sticking in joints or possibly he has torn his rotator cuff. He said there was not another soul waiting, they are empty. Nobody is going in for X-rays unless they absolutely have to. He was very impressed. In, Out, no fuss, no bother, no waiting allowed. All the tablet painkillers now contain lactose, shellac, gelatine or animal based stearic acid, so he is on kiddie paracetamol liquid (calp0l) and kiddie ibuprofen liquid, as they are the only things except Panad0l (the shelf was empty) and Veganin that are vegan, and Veganin contains codeine that he will not go near, and it states in huge letters on the front of the box it should not be taken for more than 3 days as it is highly addictive! He is terrified of codeine.Healthy lunch (naked burger and green salad) was made much less healthy for the kids with the addition of a burger bun, hm wedges, and hm onion rings (honestly why do I do this to myself???) . So the damage, at the end of the meal , means I did not get the burger I wanted, as ds3 changed his mind about what he wanted and chose mine instead, his burger was a whole 20 cals more than mine, but he made up for it with his own bodyweight in ketchup and mustard. I ate his naked burger, green salad, 2 potato wedges and 5 battered onion rings. Could have been worse.DS2 has grown another inch and can comfortably see over my head. If he stands on tiptoes `he can rest his chin on the top of my head. He finds this hilarious.DS1 has still not done his maths homework and now I am getting even more emails from his teachers asking if he plans to get an AS level and if he is dropping the subject. We have explained and explained and explained to the boy that he has to keep up with his work, and then send it in once it is done, but he is choosing not to. He is not stressed, quite the opposite. He is doing my head in and making every single meal a battleground as DH (the teaching profession) comes into contact with DS1 (the lazy student who thinks he can pass by doing no work) while DS2 is keeping his mouth well and truly shut unless quoting his new zen mantras of 'I have watched BBC bitesize today' and 'I revised my power points'. Whether or not this is true, is debatable, but when questioned he does seem to know his stuff, but knowing it, and being able to write it down in any kind of framework, are two different matters.Sheesh! It is a minefield round here at the minute.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I have now lost a stone and a half! Blimmin' finally!!!! Whoop whoop for 12.11. Soon it will be long behind me and I will be down under 12.7. I know it! I will, I will, I will. I am now only 2lbs heavier than himself.Yesterday dh and his magic finger went for the heating button in the middle of the day, resulting in a horribly annoying whirring clunky noise and 24 hours with no heat or hot water. Plumber Bob just left, 2 hours late for his appointment, but he had the part, fitted it, and I have just paid £150 for heating that I myself will not use until October, but I suppose the hot water will come in handy. Grrr! DH says he will pay me back for it, which will be good as I only had £250 left in my account until child benefit comes in next week Friday - early payment date due to the late May bank holiday weekend - so the food budget is going to have to be cut to the bone. Nearly everything from stores or ys for the foreseeable. The Child Tax people have decided that I need an extra £45 a week now, instead of the £22 they have been paying me for the last year. They have all the right figures, I cannot work out how they work out what they work out, or how it changes when we earn more, so I will just shunt it into the renovations account and steal it back when I take the kids off to buy 100 pairs of canoe-sized shoes and trainers when they go back to school.I am being harassed by the dental receptionist now. They ring and leave a message on my mobile (cos I ever have my mobile on me!) so I ring them back and they are engaged all day long, as they are ringing everyone and are rebooking appointments for September! They rang dh this morning so he rebooked his and hung up, he is not linked to the kids accounts like I am. So we are still playing phone 'Tig'. Still no MRI scan appointment for dh yet. He is getting grumpier by the day.I am reading a book.Managed to get the tip-off ice cream cones from Her0n, so the kids are delighted. Nom nom nom, they went - I had an apple
and it was actually a really nice apple too. We walked up and down to the shops, so just a short 2.5 mile jaunt on their bikes.
Lunch was cheese and crackers, and leftover bits from the fridge. Still have one bowl of soup in there, and plenty of salady bits. I think I have around 10 meals (off the top of my head) that I can make without even thinking about needing to buy anything to supplement it. So it is head down, small sub-£10 spends if I do venture out for a bit of inspiration, and keeping my money hostage for the rest of the month. But I will have hot water!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Eeek, how annoying about the heating / hot water - but better the part go in the summer when the heating isn't really needed and it's not as bad not having hot water for 24hrs than in the depths of winter when the plumbers are booked up for weeks and it's sub zero.
Congratulations on the weight loss, I am measuring lockdown by adding what feels like a lb a day atm.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

regards the child benefit situation that when the time comes don't forget to consider the possibility that upping pension contributions could allow you to still receive CB (and the NI protection it offers for your SP), until all the DC are >12Groceries: Personal Spend: 0 NST NSD Goals for 2025:Self: Health: Wealth :6
