greenbee said:I don't ask what size I am. Just get measured/checked and then try on whatever they throw at me without looking at the sizes. I frequently come out with things in more than one size due to the style. It's a bit like clothes - I've now decided that things either fit or don't fit. The labels are irrelevant.
The shop I use they don't use tape measures, they are excellent at judging body shape and the cut of the different bras. No judgement, just brilliant professional service in a friendly setting.

Same here @Baileys_Babe - and I've lost lots of weight! I was planning on going back when I reached my goal, which lockdown has handily helped me do (I've been in isolation for 9 weeks now, so meal planning - particularly at the start - has been very precise so I've finally been eating what I should not what I want!). And now I have to wait for the shop to reopen! I have bought new tops for yoga, as my sports bras are uncomfortable now - and anyway, as I'm mostly doing yoga and pilates, something without a clasp at the back is a much better idea!7

Recommend Bravissimo if you have one nearby, or an independent bra shop if not. As a 32 (currently 34 but losing) F, G or further through the alphabet depending on the cut, I find it's often the only way to get a bra in that size to begin with, short of going and getting scaffolding. And I could sometimes weep when I compare those that I am offered compared to the willo-the-wisp offerings of those with a less heaving bosum. I often wonder where ladies who have boob jobs get their bras, or do they not need them if they are surgically enhanced?

Bra! vissimo and Debnums were my go-to 'structural upholsterers' of choice, we do have one of each in town, not sure for how much longer though.Today I was very good, fruit breakfast, 95% salad for lunch, zero oil baked spicy aubergine chinese thing for supper with tiny amount of rice, but I then had some h/m rice pudding with stewed cherry compote - only about4 tablespoons of rice pudding, but still it feels incredibly naughty and like I should not have done it. Besides, it got rid of another litre of rice milk and it was blimmin' lovely. Even all the kids ate it (usually have at least one dissenter about rice pudding) but dh got a stroppy look on his face and he left the table saying he was not eating pudding. He has just now popped his head in the door as I am typing this and asked if I would like a cup of tea, and if the glass in the fridge was his one. ha ha! I do find putting a pudding in a small drinking glass really helps with portion control. So what did I do today? Turfed out the kids bedrooms properly (they are rubbish at this) and hoovered it all, and all the stairs, my room, ignored the bathrooms as I did those yesterday, cleaned and sorted the living room and hoovered, hoovered the back room and kitchen and dining room and cleaned the loo and sink in the ground floor bathroom (the one that still looks like the Arg0s warehouse). It was disgusting in there. Cleaned the kitchen while I stewed my fruit, baked my aubergine, and puddinged my rice.Did 2 loads of laundry and line dried them. Even though it got very dark and cloudy out there I managed it before the threatened thunderstorms due tonight. However, I have got to the point where I am going to have to tackle the downstairs bathroom. It has been a dumping ground for far too long. It is the next station along on the line, as it were. While I have the time and the inclination, I need to keep up the momentum, and push on into what is the last room you come to on the ground floor. I will need brillo pads and cardboard boxes. Might make a detour tomorrow after volunteering.I fear the mound for the tip -sorry! I mean the recycling centre - is going to grow quite a lot over the next few days........4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Oh dear to the strop FH 'do you want a cup of tea' is one of our usual icebreakers after a silly strop. I can't wait for the local tip to reopen, have a pile of stuff to take, largely from before lockdown. I also have a load of car boot stuff which I'd hoped to have done this year...it may possibly end up going to the charity shop if the car boots are still banned this year.

The stuff in the c/shop is going to be brilliant when all this is over.

I might have to venture to the CS in a nearby village, never been in them before but popped in at Xmas and the stuff was certainly reflective of the area judging by the labels. A bit more pricey but still a bargain. Saw a lovely Monsoon occasion dress for £15, needed a loose bead stitching back up but aside from it was perfect.

Well i have been a busy old sausage today, did not want to get up, but eventually did just before 9am,Those taxcreditmuppets have started throwing money at me again. No doubt they will tell me we earn too much now and I have to repay it, but until we can get dh's P40 (0nly available on a work computer or in the work building) we will not know. Not too desperately bothered, I mean it is less than £5 per child per week. So we must be coming up to the threshold. If we were new claimants they would have stopped paying us long ago, but because we were before the 2 child policy, and before the reduction to £40k and you get nowt, rule, we are still able to get £20 a week. It is so unfair. Anyway, when we tell them about dh's incremental pay rise, it may no longer be an issue. In fact I have no doubt they will claim I owe them money. But until then they want to give me double what they have given me for the last few months, and have just stuck an extra £100 odd quid in my bank. Just for good measure. Madness!Anyway, after two cups of strong coffee, a ritual cursing of all online CTC calculators, a bit of stomping about, potting up dh's tomato plants, and my 4 courgettes, and 2 patty pan, and 6 cucumber seedlings - the stupid things all grew upside down! Every last one of them, I discovered while excavating the pots to see what was going wrong. And after having a very nice lunch of fish(ish) and chips (9 chips) and mushy peas, I decided today was the day I begin to tackle the downstairs bathroom of doom. And I now have a totally clear bathroom floor with a clean loo and sink. I do have a few bits I am going to relocate to the shed, but I have found my bag of things to be mended (now on the arm of my chair so I can do it while watching tv), a bag of 6 cushion inners to be used with the fabric stash I have and now I have separated out what I need for this job, and decided that now is the perfect time to use it up. So I have a few things I want to do, I want to make shopping bags out of some of the fabric, I want to make the cushion covers, and I have various bits of velvet I quite fancy making a patchwork sofa cover using one of my removable 1kea sofa covers to stitch the squares on to. That way I do not need to worry about reinventing the wheel, I just need to fit my patches to the cover I have, and stitch down firmly, and then put it back on the sofa. I just need to make sure all the nap is in the same direction, and that I have enough material to do the job. Well, that is how it is going to work in my head. My sofa will look like Elmer, only comfier.Oh, and I made an apple, walnut, and pear crumble with the last tiny amount of a bag of wholemeal bread flour, dh made sausage, mash, and beans, and I had small portions of all of it. I want this weight gone.I rediscovered an indian style long sequined skirt in a size 14 in one of the boxes in the bathroom, and it will take less than an inch loss for me to be able to zip it closed. Not to be able to sit down in it, but to close it is still a win. The rest will come.Anyway, the weight is going in the right direction, the house is going in the right direction - The downstairs bathroom bath (the one that has the metal shelving unit in it) is the next thing to be examined. Do you know I found 3 bedside lamps just clearing the boxes on the floor in there? One of them needs a new lampshade, but the other 2 were broken. What were they doing in there? Unless someone has mistaken one of my 'broken small electricals' boxes destined for the recycling centre, and shoved them in there to keep them out of the way.....but that would involve someone other than me tidying anything up, so it must have been me. Mea Culpa. It might mean that a lot of the things on the shelves in boxes are going to be things that can leave the house.Anyway, all the plants have been potted on, and brought into the house in cardboard trays, and put inside the patio windows so they can get the sun and not get frost damage if it gets too cold over the weekend. I do not want to lose my australian seedlings. All in all a good amount got done today. A lot less will be achieved tomorrow as it is my 5 hours of volunteering day.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
