Colloidal silver is a better option than us humans would get! Poor kitty...
Hope you're doing ok f0xh0les and not getting too much cabin fever being home with all the boys all of the time. I would recommend Bee Emm for stuff - I managed to get things there today that have been out of stock at supermarkets for ages (paracetamol, surface cleaner and ketchup) and there was plenty of it (and loo roll but I didn't need that). Not giving up

I ventured to the little Post Office shop as I was sending something on to Swiss Aunty - funny how postage costs only happen to other people, but they seem to think it is free for me. They had labelled up all their small packs of pasta at £1.69. I am not spending that!DH has requested sausage rolls and salad for supper tonight, so I think I will do the boys chips with theirs. Dieting sucks. I am focused on getting down the next stone bracket though. I am motivated, and will make a big fat healthy vegetable soupy stew for tomorrow. I used up all the previous leftovers at lunchtime, so I had salad and a tablespoon of home made hummus, dh had salad, couscous and paprika stew, ds 2 and 4 had veg fried rice ( I had leftover rice), ds3 had green pasta, ds1 had red pasta. There are no more bowls of 1 person portion leftovers in the fridge! Very quick lunch. There is now only ingredients in there, plus a big glass of green pesto-ish.

f0xh0les most GPs etc everywhere have stopped doing ear syringing full stop as they are just too pressed with everything (not including current events) & syringing isn't that effective (I admit I watch an audiology Utoob channel which is where this info incoming from), she will need to visit an audiologist/hearing clinic who do ear cleaning who can sort her out. As you say she won't be able to see anyone right now as I don't think audiologists are even doing emergency triage but googling ear cleaning NI brings up some & hopefully you can narrow down someone near to her & get her on the list for when they are able to see people again.
I agree any poking pins in a cat is weird and cruel, hopefully the cat thought it was a good game and retaliated by poking its claws in all concerned

warning - may be gross !!
I find the Oil stuff so messy so I buy the drops made from solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. They just seem to work better, and although I am guilty of an occasional ear bud generally it just keeps it clear. might be easier on the hearing aids as well, although in my experience if you're blocked your aids aren't going to help much anyway (depending on what type they are)I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

There used to be a cat down the road where i grew up with a missing tail, he was very sweet and lovely.
f0xh0les have been channeling you today, finally put up the shelving in the garage that we bought when we moved in...4yrs ago! Still some sorting to go and a load of stuff for the tip, which obv isnt open atm. The desire to just chuck it in the general waste is strong but I'll resist.
Painted the side garage door frame today too, well first coat, second to do tomorrow. Annoyingly it turns out the window sill i thought they'd replaced two years ago when the doors were done because it was rotten seems not to have been the case. Thus when I've tried sanding it, bits are coming off and its a squidgy as jelly. So, i either try and patch it with what i have, or set myself a job to replace it, which could be one of those things that seemed a good idea when i started it...

According to The Groniad article ' How to repair a rotten window sill '' If the wood is soft, but still reasonably intact, there's a product called wood hardener that will add reinforcement – follow the instructions on the packet.'Before you decide to just chisel it out and screw in a replacement.Step-gran is now worrying about running out of vegetables in a fortnight. She is going to have to ask the agency that supply her carers if they are doing shopping for the immuno-compromised. I know they did do it as an add on service - for a cost, and step-gran was never ever going to pay for someone to do that for her -she is one of those fruit and veg squeezer-types - but is happy to get her old lady friends to go out of their way to take her.- but now they are all benched, and she is s.t.u.c.k. and jealous that they have family. And that they can hear - she says it comes and goes. Yeah, along with her motivation to talk to them. But she prefers to sit on her bum and worry instead of just asking. Anyway, there is nothing I can do from here, right now, on a Sunday night.DH is ratty as all hell, the kids are utterly daft, I have been having really vivid dreams and awful nightmares every flippin night for a week. I am now scared to go to sleep tonight. I have been awake around 3am shaking every morning for 7 days. 2 more books to be rehomed.Really looking forward to getting out of this house tomorrow for a spot of emergency box packing. I have cut down on my shifts, I am doing 2 a week, with a lady who understands the 2m rule. I do not want to be with anyone else right now, I mean they should all know by now, but I keep turning around, and someone is right behind me.So tomorrow is The Great Loo Roll Hunt- I have not been to that shop for 5 weeks. I hope I shall be in luck.Today I bought a nice blue single duvet cover with vouchers I earned from surveys, cost to me £0. DS3 will be happy too - it is for him.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
