I did use the wood hardener on the windsill before we had the garden done f0xh0les, used the end of it on the bottom of the back fence this year. Fence is entirly rotten, slightly superfluous as there is another behind it and would beca total PITA to replace (its orignal the the house where there used to be an alleway between us and now demolished flats) it also sports original 1960s barbed wire...very fetching. The windowsill should've been replaced by the landscapers when they did thay garden, there is still some snagging they are due to come back and sort...there will be a message tomorrow that I'm not pleased it wasn't previously done and please add it to the list. I've already had to repaint a badly painted doorstep by them and noticed a door frame had only been given one coat of paint. Had they done that properly i prob wouldn't have noticed the sill. Sorry, first world rant over.
I ventured to L1dl on Friday evening and there was plenty of loo roll and stocks of most other things too so you should be ok. First time for me since all the 2m queuing was introduced but actually it was ok and not too stressful (my only concern really was knowing the longer i was in store the longer someone outside had to wait)
Could you arrange an Abel & Cole box for step gran maybe? Do they have it in NI?
I had a couple of really bad nights too, waking up at 2am panicking. I think its a natural reaction to a change in the norm and also i think i was subconsciously worrying about the shops and stocks. I've been trying to clear my mind before bed, focus on normal stuff like plans for the house and keeping off the news before bedtime. It seems to be helping. XFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Went to Mr M's on Saturday got there just as they opened for non-emergency people, so 9am, and there were 2 packs of Andr3x in the whole building. The rest of the aisle except kitchen roll was empty. No pocket tissues, no box tissues, and as there were only 2 packs of loo rolls I left them in case someone was desperate. The pasta aisle only had 20p spaghetti or 80p tagliatelli or the ridiculously expensive massive pasta sea shells and pasta inner tubes (that is what they look like) at £2.60 for 500g nothing else on the shelf. We seem to have regional differences about what is available. Or maybe I just live in a place full of selfish hoarders. I have noticed that everyone outside seems to have an attitude.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

There's someone on our local FB group that spends her whole time telling everyone else they should stay in, but SHE can go out several times a day because she has dogs and horses. Most horsy people I know have stopped riding as it's a high risk activity and could divert valuable NHS resources. Plus they exercise their dogs when they go to do their horses, which they have turned out so they don't need riding. I'm having to sit on my hands.
I have no idea what our supermarkets are like - I haven't been to a shop for weeks. I did hear rumours that in general fresh fruit and veg weren't being bought in quite such large quantities as junk, which says something about the state of the nation's diet and health. What makes me really angry is the pictures binmen have been posting of OOD fresh food being thrown away by the panic-buyers.7 -
Where abouts is your step-gran foxholes? Our local community is organising help for residents and theres also local suppliers offering delivery boxes. We have a FB group and I think they're connected to the whole of the north of NI now. There was a link for help, I'll have a search for you xMortgage start date Nov 2014 - £90,545 over 25 years

Thanks bargainhunter, I did find one such volunteer project near her, but they stopped last Friday due to the over 50s being considered a high risk group in NI, (could you imagine if they did that over here!!) and they deemed it too dangerous to continue in the community. And she is a fussy mare.I have been on to the Killultagh//Castlereagh Covid website but it is just an email address for someone to get back to you with no guidance about what they offer.Unsurprisingly one Church organisation and one Chapel one. She would not thank me for telling 'strangers' (she has a thing about strangers) there is a housebound 80 yr old woman who lives alone on the hill with no family and no way of getting out and no internet access and she is deaf (I would leave rude out). You know how funny some of them get. She has a thing about being murdered in her bed as well. Her attitude is : I need help, but I won't let anyone know I need help, because that might look like I need help and then people will take advantage. She drives me nuts, and I know when I ask her next, she will tell me that she is sorted because she managed to get someone to offer first, and it is ok if people offer, but you must'nt ever be the first to ask.It is like some foreign, social etiquette, mating ritual that I seem to have missed out on. Or maybe I was ill that day in school? or I am immune to it.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I also think things can be a bit behind over here compared to England. They don't seem to like doing council/government things online and if they do the systems seem pretty old!Mortgage start date Nov 2014 - £90,545 over 25 years

Stocks of levels seem to be varying across the country.
Both last week and the week before I was able to get everything I wanted in Aldi. They had stocks of pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes, baked beans, bread, eggs, milk, fruit, vegetables, toilet roll, tissues, paracetamol.
Friday I walked to our local Asda to pick things up for a friend, who has 2 young children & her husband works in A & E, I leave the shopping on the step, they were out of eggs, most citrus fruit from the list I had, not sure what other areas they had shortages but some of the shelves were bare and other areas were fully stocked.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning all!Tuesday already, I have put the bins out and read the meters and submitted them. First cup of coffee drunk, and 2 crumpets eaten. It looks like it is going to be a warm and sunny pollen-y day. First load of laundry on.Boz is in an IC Unit and Dominic Raab is the designated adult.Filled boxes like a fury yesterday, lots done and there is a fat pile of stuff to go out to the hubs. We have been donated a few crates of easter eggs by one of the supermarkets, so whoever needs a parcel will get an Easter Egg in there, not much to cheer a body, but it is something, and it can weird someone out in September if the box does not go out this week. So, I am not going out again until Thursday, when I will do a little shop again. Made a lovely biryani last night with cucumber raita and it was really good. There was loads, I ate a lot less
, the 2 biggest hoovered up every scrap of everything not moving, so no leftovers here.
It is same old, same old, over here today. I will clean the house, tell the kids to get on with their homework (they will ignore me), lie in the bath and pretend to be a water lily, do 3 loads of laundry (not in the bath), and try not to go quietly insane.Someone has been in our back yard, they used one of the planters to boost themselves out over the wall, and I found it lying in the middle of the yard on its side - I hate thieves. It matters not that I have nothing to steal, I just don't like the idea that somebody has been outside poking about - plus our empty house next door does not need to attract any more attention than is strictly necessary.Right, the day is getting on, and I need one more coffee before I have to deal with people (who will not be up for another hour).4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
