Thanks foxholes. I have all of that except sr flour as i forgot to buy any before the world and his wife started stocking up. Will try and pick some up once I'm allowed back in the shops again next week. Is that about an inch of oil you use? Sorry, wasn't 100% sure from the recipe.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I am lucky in that dh works in the front upstairs room that gets the most sun. And all the tech equipment keeps it toasty. It is where I dry the washing indoors. He comes down to make a cuppa and suggests we need the heating on as it's soooo cold ...

Yes just the top inch of the mug - I hate using measuring cups, so I just use a bog standard mug, and because everything goes in the one mug there is v little washing up and it is just ratios. Vegan baking is very forgiving. I tend to bake mine in a loaf tin, as a round cake seems to evaporate faster here - If you are doing a round tin, knock 5 minutes off the cooking time. Larger surface area and all that jazz.Oh dear, we all seem to be married to frigid little mannikins. I must say dh feels the cold far more than I do, I expect it is sitting still, thinking and reading, instead of all those trips up and down the stairs and keeping warm in the washing up water.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

OH has just commented he is turning into an old person, as he is feeling the cold more.

Hi Foxholes, looks like you are hanging on in there in all the madness. Recipes sounds fab. I made 12 little chocolate buns last night at around 6.30 and by 8.30 there were only 4 left (it wasn't all me, promise). I don't envy you with the home schooling. Only DS4 at home atm and he is (luckily for me) quite self motivated. His singing and dancing lessons are all being conducted online which has been interesting. Glad you managed to escape the MIL's planter. What a nightmare lol! Stay safe.Starting Mortgage 01.08.08 £171,209.24. Honestly, the amount my kids eat is horrific. DH will not entertain - just have a sandwich, or just have a bowl of soup, for lunch. So we are having cooked meals twice a day - I am heavily supplementing with salad, but there is something cooked at every meal. So the washing up, the baking, the cooking and the planning is all doubled. Very annoying.Oh well, it is not like I have much else to be doing with my time. I am feeling antsy today. The kids are all telling me they are stress free, totally unworried about the virus, they are safe, and happy, and is there any more of that cake? So I seem to be doing well at keeping them calm and reassured, even though 181 people died of this yesterday. It is like I am the only person watching the news in our house. Everyone else is studiously ignoring it all. If you ignore it, then it will go away. Eventually. The secondary school has put out some information about late GCSE/A level exams to be sat in Sept/Oct if you are not happy with accepting your predicted grade. Not something that will affect my kids, they are just going to have to have an intensive learning experience when they go backWednesday is April 1st and for the first time in ages I have money in the bank, and money in my purse, and I am not scrabbling about trying not to borrow money back from savings. So many people in a much worse position right now.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Have you got plain flour. You can convert it by adding stuff. Just google it.

F0xh0les - OH is also one who likes the heating up full if he could get away with it, i banned the electric blanket on the bed before we got a bigger mattress as he kept leaving it up full all night and it was terrible for my dry skin.
I'm also antsy more today, i think its because there's now very little in terms of choice to do at the weekend, and no football. At least in the week i have the normal routine of work. Even though we didn't go out much, i just feel so cooped up and bored, and very much 'what is even the point ' sigh, gonna be a long three weeks.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I would just like to say, I have got dressed every day. Even though I have not really seen the point, I have still got up and got dressed like a 'normal' person. That kind of behaviour caused the fall of the Roman Empire.Blimey, 260 in the last 24 hours. Getting a bit scary now.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Routine is key. I too am making sure that I get up and get dressed. It would be so easy just to stay in bed and hide all day.Not giving up
