Being to picky for 5p?

  • I'd insist on full payment.

Happened to me before but it was 50p, the buyer did it on purpose because I would not give him a discount. Gave him a strike and he soon paid up that 50p sharpish.

its 5p! how many times have you been a few p short in a shop and they've let you off? i just let someone off a quid postage, even though they clearly didnt read the postage costs. its not worth the hassle sometimes

Which shops have you been in that have left you off? A collegue of mine got in trouble for letting someone off 8p!

Taking MoneySaving a little too far?

  • they've saved you 20p + 3.4% by opting to pay via postal order, and at least they've had the decency to let you know of the error.

chances are they didnt have enough to pay for the full amount + PO fee so they had to chop off 5p (just MHO) but allow it, as i said, they saved you on paypal fees and they've literally got no comeback if the CD goes 'missing'

Just as people have said post the thing 2nd class you will then save the 5p
  • Its just 5p.

Post 2nd Class if you feel that you need to recoup the 5p loss. If you do anything else it could affect your feedback score cause they can quite easily leave you neg feedback for being petty.

  • Ok, I think I understand that it's just 5p now. I got the postal order this morning so will just send the CD's.

All this fuss over 5p , if you walk half a mile on a city pavement you will find at least 5p in change .
And people said I was being petty over a complaint about £3.76!
  • Wow, 40 posts on 5p. I think a lot of people are getting unduly worked up about this thread.
