Being to picky for 5p?

  • I would insist on the remaining 5p before sending it out, or at least save money on the postage if you can.

    I'm surpised so many people are saying let it go, at what point do they decide to chase 6p, 10p, 15p, 30p, 50p, £1, £5

    I tend to agree with the above but how important is the negative feedback to you?

    It really is annoying when buyers take the mick in a niggly way such as this. If OP takes a stance it will just be construed as being difficult.

    I hope you were meant to post it 1st class? Just post it 2nd class.

    Send in Bailiffs!
  • I look at it this way, they have still saved you money by sending a Postal Order (which is basically cash) and you have not incurred Paypal fee's on this transaction. Don't waste productive time thinking about 5p, use that time to sell more CD's. Use the experience to improve your Ebay listings and weed out the buyers you don't want. Again they have given you a cheap lesson in what people are like and you have saved some money from Paypal fees.
    So whats the problem ?

    u win some, u lose some!! by being a little childish with this sale you may well mess up any future sales if the 5p dispute were to go on your feedback record for all to see.
    let it go.

    When I was selling a lot of parts on Ebay I had a motto that it was 20 steps forwards for one step back. So I never became too hung up on details just because that time was better spent on listing more stock.
    Happy chappy

    I'd take them to the small claims court. You may first want to instruct a solicitor. :confused:

    5p is 5p, stick to your principles. If there were more people as principled as you we'd have no street beggars. ("spare any change, course I can't, I've got 5p and it's MINE").;)

    I can set up a Paypal account and other forum members can send contributions to help you make up the loss.:eek:

    its 5p! how many times have you been a few p short in a shop and they've let you off? i just let someone off a quid postage, even though they clearly didnt read the postage costs. its not worth the hassle sometimes
