    Hi
I am going to find it tough for the next few months... I really need to cut back the groceries. My aim is for £200 every 4 weeks.
My four weeks start today and my spend today is £2 (milk and crisps).

    Hiya Elsie

Yes, they still get added and I noted your posts 144 and 155 on October thread.

I run the recipes part of the thread now, but have to get a link from Zippy to add them. I try to only bother her once a month to sort and post me a link, so should be added soon :D

I've been keeping an eye on these threads and our spending in October and I'm horrified!! So please may I join in in November? :)

So far this month we've spend £180  - that's for 2 of us and we make all meals and don't by carp. In fairness, this month we both had 'bake off' at work and my birthday weekend away which included an extravagant birthday picnic and plenty of birthday booze so I don't think that's the norm.

So judging by others spends and the gap between the two I'm going to aim for £140. Which I'll aim to include everything (food, cleaning bits and booze) should be easily achieved but we are running low on freezer stocks.

I don't think it helps that OH is diabetic and doesn't eat carbs so we can't make use of cheap eats like potatoes, rice or pasta etc. It's very much meat and veg for us. Plus we get through a little too much booze :o BUT, I will get our spends down!

I'll join in from this weekend though, after pay day and just pretend Octobers spends haven't happened!!! :)

Ok, kicking off my November budget with an Ocado spend...

I had a £30 off £75 voucher, and needed to do my bulk order of cleaning products, so after checking them out of biggreensmile.com which is where I've always ordered from in the past, and it came to £40 odd, I found the same stuff came to £38 on Ocado, so I spent the extra £8 odd on store cupboard stuff for the month plus toothpaste, caddy liners etc... the total should have been over £80 before offers and discount but my spend is...

    £46.79

Woohoo! I'm intending to only buy fresh veg now for the rest of the month as I have pretty much everything else I think I need! Fingers crossed!

Here's to a great start to a new month for everyone!

Please can you put me down for £350 for November?

I am having a super low spend month and this amount will be very challenging to achieve.

Today I will be doing a full stock take of our freezers, cupboards and fridge and as I am off for the rest of this week, batch cooking some meals for the freezer.

    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

My overall grocery spends seems to be okay at £125, so will stick with that for November 1st-30th, please, my others spends is still out of control though, personal target of £100 again.
Do I need it or just want it.

I so relate to this. Pity there isn't a seperate thread for what I call personal spending. I have £120 tops for November.
All that clutter used to be money
