And me! 😞
Still working on August, spending as little as poss until September starts. I have put my budget money into a separate purse, and while the children are with their dad on weds, I think I'll get in the lunchbox stuff ready for next week, before shopping for the week with the children on Sunday, my normal shopping day. I'll feel better knowing I'm ready for school, plus if I do it alone, the ch can't keep saying I want I want!
PG xGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending0 -

Hi all! I'm in again. Falling off the wagon a bit lately so with skids going back to school next week it's time to sort budget.
275 please and we'll see how we go!0 -
Hi, just a quick one, sorry not strictly on topic, but I know you lovely ladies will know.... I'm trying to budget for a family of four for £130 a month, as that's all we have. So every penny counts. I went to Aldi today to research items and forgot the bananas  Can anyone tell me how many bananas you usually get in Aldis 68p packs?
Thanks so much,
Missy
So will be back shortly to do a proper grocery challenge post.0 -

I think it's five in a pack - if small it might be six. I buy the three pack because otherwise they get wasted and that's 39p.
I'd check in Home Bags, F Foods, and the £shops as well, if you have them near you and you have time, as often they're cheaper on the odd thing than A*di. I used to spend half the week chasing budget prices when we were very low on funds.
Suggest you also look at Jack Munroe and other cheap meal sites, some on first posts and others on the tinternet.
Good luck and shout if you need any help

Thanks lynnejk, I was hoping it was 6! Nevermind, I'll go back and try and wiggle things around on mysupermarket! yes I know it's super tight, but husband is likely to be made redundant (again)! We should know by October, and on just my wages that is all the money there would be left!!! Have been in aldi counting the apples, rich tea biscuits and slices of bread in the packets to see how far they stretch!!!
Thanks again0 -

I get those packs, and there are 5/6/7 in them. I usually look through the box to get a 7er. HTH xxGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
