Hi all :hello:
It's been a while since I've been here but am really having a focus on our budget at the moment as it has got a bit out of hand and this thread (amongst others!) used to be fab for keeping me on track so I am back
There are 4 of us in our household, me, hubby and two hungry growing boys, aged 11 and 4.
I am honestly not sure how much we spend on food/household each month these daysI am going to go for an overall spend of £300 and keep all my receipts so I can benchmark and see where I can make savings. My month starts tomorrow (payday) so would love to join in if you'll have me
Thanks and good luck all,
Jovi xx0 -
Technically my food months run from the 27th-26th, but in order to take advantage of a good delivery rate I have received order number 1 (MrT) today. So I am off the starting blocks early with £42.31 taken from September's grocery shop budget of £168. I will be doing the same again tomorrow with my MrM food shop.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

For readers of the August Thread you will know that I had a bit of a mission trying to track down lemon and lime squash for my OH with no luck. You'll be pleased to know the MrT delivery contained Lemon and Lime squash and my OH's exact words of praise were 'You've done good!'Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Evening all
Having fallen off the wagon for a while, it's about time to climb back on, albeit cautiously!
Previously I've included all food, whether it be groceries, eating out or takeaways, it's not working.
What I need to concentrate on is the grocery/takeaway mix.
I'm going to take a stab and say £600
This includes toiletries, cleaning supplies, cat food, but not alcohol ....SaveGC - March 2024 -0 -
Please can I join you?
We spend way too much on take-aways so this month we've set aside into envelopes:
£150 food, £50 lunch, milk, bread, £55 eating out/take-away £30 cleaning etc. £15 rabbits
I've got a free app on my mobile where I can list spends in these categories wherever I am so going to try this out and see if we can cut down or see where the budget is differing.
So £300 for the two of us please, we'll see how this works for the first month
Best of luck everyone!"Why not now, OK so when and how," ElephantChunks.
