    Hello!

I could go into a fair bit of detail, but my best resource is a particularly good Facebook group I use for couponing, as the deals are changing constantly and this gets updated in real time:
    https://www.facebook.com/couponsandcashback

This will be more up to date than anything I could post here as new updates are being added constantly.

Another good way is grocery cashback apps on your mobile. These generally have a range of offers, and require you to scan the barcode of the item you select, and then upload your receipt. They then pay cashback to you which can be withdrawn once it gets to a certain level, normally straight into your bank account via BACS. These apps frequently have products that you can try for free, so you buy them and then the app will reimburse you the entire purchase price when you upload your receipt. This is a great way to try new products that you might not otherwise try. You can have an account per person, so if you have a partner, you can each have an account and get 2 of each item, but they must be on different receipts.

The 2 main cashback apps I use are Shopitize and CheckoutSmart. These can both be downloaded from the app store on your phone. Shopitize has offers that change every Wednesday, and generally don't offer products for free, but do offer cashback on staples such as bread, milk and lettuce. CheckoutSmart has offers that change without any set timescale, so it's good to check back regularly. They generally have lots of free offers, plus cashback on more obscure products. Always make sure you check the restrictions, for example some of the offers can only be claimed at one supermarket, and generally you will be required to buy a specific size of a product rather than any product in the range.

    Hope that helps :)

    Morning all

Please can I join in? Can you put me down for £350 for September, please? Overspent on holiday, but August GC was only a tiny bit over my £400 budget, so not too bad! :D

Off to make meal plans for the next week, until school starts, then I'll have time to batch cook whilst the littlies are at school.

    A xo

How long do they keep for? I read 24 hours which put me off a bit. Excuse to make and gobble them very quickly.... :D

  • Hi everyone, my month really starts tomorrow, but need supplies for the month, so doesn't seem right putting it on August budget. I failed massively last month, due to the fact that I decided to add alcohol into the budget, which I had been doing separately, so what I'm going to try is £60 for the month to include food, toiletries, cleaning stuff, take aways, etc., and a £20 alcohol budget (which I will do separately, but just keep tabs on). My daughter mainly buys her own stuff, but I do cook 2/3 meals a week for her.

I put them in sealable containers, and we're still eating them now. Still lovely and crunchy :)

Ours don't keep for very long but it has nothing to do with going off and everything to do with us just eating them really quickly. :o

Slight adjustment to my Morrisons order total. It was actually 70.28 GBP (not 70.13). And been and got the missing bits, plus a few extras which haven't run out, but will do before the end of the month (tea, coffee, kitchen roll etc) which came to 19.40 GBP.

So, new total up to - 173.93 GBP. No more need to shop this week, and we are heading over to MIL's on Sunday for dinner. Soooo, we get out of the house, enjoy her company, have lush food AND save some pennies. :)

    Nope....Birthday cards! Bums! I forgot!
