An Evening With... Jeremy Corbyn

oh dear
as usual, toxic toastie refuses to discuss any actual positive policies
just the usual hate filled nonsense
I'm astonished that according to RT, and presumably Momentum, social mobility only means arguing for social mobility, rather than actually realising it, and wanting to penalise (taxation) and marginalise those who do achieve it.
Circular thinking if ever there was. Sounds like a sure vote winner to gain those seats from the Conservatives :rotfl:0 -

This is the evening with Jeremy thread, although the answer to your question is in here.
OK thanks for that. details are sketchy, but I did find this...

So it's very clear that Jeremy wants more people to pay tax, including all those firmly entrenched at the bottom of the social scale.0 -

well toxic toastie has no actual wish to improve the lot of the poorer section of society but only wishes to to a protestor
he would never ask why social mobility has stalled as benefits have improved
he would never ask why a young person from Bermonsey (who speaks some sort of English) can't find employment in London whilst some-one can travel a few thousand miles from a non-English speaking country, can find a job with apparent ease.
He doesn't need to ask : he knows it due to the neoliberal conspiracy.0 -
Labour wants to keep people poor so they will keep voting Labour. It's also why Labour hates good schools and regards them as a "great danger".
Well-educated people are an existential danger to Labour so obviously they want to stamp down on good schools.0 -

I think you are confusing education with morality and selfishness;)
There is an interesting pattern on these threads. Toastie makes a comment and then receives an immediate torrent of responses from his opposites. I wonder what energises them?........ left wing loons, immigrants, benefit cheats, public service workers etc are keeping them downtrodden and cheating them out of what should rightly be theirs?0 -

The policies. That was his remark. I responded, he accused me of being a boomer. Well, see for yourself.0 -

RT, your visceral hatred of your parents is really starting to affect how you interact with other people now. Dismissing everyone that disagrees with you as a "boomer" or if they're technically not that old as a boomer in spirit is an embarrassingly poor way to win an argument. If this is representative of how Labour are going to approach the electorate then they are truly doomed. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -

Dismissing everyone who isn't a Tory voter as a communist is no better.0 -

Of course it isn't; that's why I don't do it.
Elections in this country are won on the middle ground between the extreme right wingers and communists. It's ridiculous that there is no party occupying and exploiting this fertile territory. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
