Morning,
Trip to London was good except my 12 year old had a massive strop, which nearly resulted in him and us going home
On the upside, something sold on eBay yesterday, so I need to package that up and send it today.
Got a few things for work that I need to do today, I know I'm on holiday but it's a new job and it all helps my position within the company
I was thinking about the money side of things yesterday. DD is currently at the CM at 7 in the morning and after school until about 6pm. Said DD is going into Yr 6 in September and once the February half term is out of the way, the school allow them to walk to & from school on their own.....although DD will initially be with CM she will be walking to school on her own, this will save us some money
Ok, that's mainly next year but it means that I have about 6 months extra money to pay for her and then it's ours. Next year will be a big change for her as she's not going to want to be at CM when she's old enough to walk to and from school, so that will save us tons of money.0 -

Hope the trains are running ok now and your kids got their day out.
Yup, totally agree with you0 -
I bit the bullet and paid £8.08 off the BC, that gives me a nice round figure of £8660 until they add interest for August on it.0

You're doing so well, keep it going! Great ebay postings and the child care will save a packet, my ds has another couple of years before he can walk home but dd stopped last year and saved us as fortune.
Well done on the bc payment, I like nice round figures too but my latest payment took off the interest straight away so back to odd numbers, very frusting but going down quicker which is not to be sniffed at!

Thanks huggle, DS was the same, we saved loads initially once he'd stopped going but with new job, DD has upped her hours there so back to square 1 again money wise, still not long to go.0 -
eBay parcel packaged up ready, washing up done, hob cleaned, just doing my work bits then off to buy DS some jeans as he's none left after our mammoth clear out....whoops!!0

Despite my best efforts I can foresee this month being a spendy month because although we appear to have masses of money spare, I wasn't factoring in DD's birthday, party and food and kids uniforms either.
I think the BC will get a hit but hopefully a small one at that!
If things go to plan DH should get some commission for some work the company has won, that will help things but it won't be for a while yet, the company bonus scheme is great, if the team win X amount they get a percentage, DH gets 1%
Taking to DH yesterday and I told him that I will be taking my lunch to work, he said it was a good idea, there are some nice foodie places around site that are reasonably priced, but it all adds up and we can't afford it. It doesn't matter to DH much as he's allowed a personal amount he can claim back, so he can buy his lunch and book it on expenses.
Got some top up bits from Tesco earlier and spied two receipts that have unclaimed points, I nabbed them and I'm going to get them added to my card....I feel guilty though, as someone else could use them?
Right on with the cleaning.0
