  • Happy Saturday.

Both kids have gone to tha local Skatepark and DH has gone to work at the flying club, so I have the house to myself for a few hours :D

Waiting for the shopping to come, which hopefully won't be much longer.

One load of washing on and I need to attack the kitchen as it looks like a bomb's hit it.

Got a lot to do whilst the kids are out, going to update the finances sheet and see where we are money wise. Want to give the bathroom a quick clean too besides other stuff.

DS is off for a sleepover tonight and he's been told he needs to be home by 10am tomorrow due to DD's party.

    Have a great day.
  • Well what an eventful week this has been! So glad it is Friday.

DD's party went well and she got thoroughly spoilt, all that worrying for nothing!

Tuesday, DH headed off to work, driving down our road when someone pulled out of their driveway and straight into DH, 3rd party has admitted liability but it means we have a hire car now. Still everyone was ok that's the main thing.

Sold something on Amazon so patiently waiting to see if anything else will go, added one more thing on there and on Ebay. Had a message off a buyer to say they'd not received their item, I checked on the Royal Mail website and the item was signed for a few days after I sent it, and told her so....not heard anymore, so I think she was trying it on

We have received a promotional offer from MBNA offering us a balance transfer on 0% for 39 months....I hate MBNA as we have had problems with them in the past when they were Virgin Money, but I'm tempting to take them up on the offer just to clear the debt and free up money each month....will talk to DH tonight and see what he thinks.

Lunches taken to work 2 times this week, DH came to site to meet me for lunch one day and I'm working from home today due to no childcare as she's gone to a funeral :(

LAD's 1 so far but it has been one of those weeks, will need to focus more next week.

NSD's not done too bad on these but unsure of how many I have managed this week, so again will try harder next week.

    Hope everyone's ok?

  • Morning,

Had a busy weekend so far, kids went to the local skatepark yesterday which was nice, DS's confidence is great and he does loads of tricks on his scooter....DD however is a little more reserved, she doesn't have as much confidence but it's coming and she likes to hang at the church with her mates and annoy her bro (skatepark is in an old barracks church btw).

My nephew and his kids came up last night, they're camping in the local airfield as there's a classic car and bike show on today and he owns a 1960's VW Camper van so is joining in today before they head home this afternoon. Just hope the weather stays nice.

Was a spendy day yesterday and probably will be today too.

Need to reign in the spending this week and get my NSD's up.

Both kids go back to school this week, can't believe DD is in Yr 6, where does the time go? One full day for DD with the childminder and back to normality. Looking forward to it, they need to get back in to a routine again.

I plan to go back to the gym again this week, not been for ages and we are paying for it every month, so I should do.

On the plus side, DH cancelled DS's old phone contract, so that saves us £13 per month.

    Hi PMO2 :)

I need to reign in the spending too, plus get some serious amount of NSDs!
This time of the year is always quite expensive (new uniform, shoes etc).

I'm looking forward to getting back into a normal routine too, we have all been a bit too lazy this summer.

Have subbed to your diary, didn't realise you had one!
  • Hi WantToBeSE, thanks for dropping in :)

So I bit the bullet and finally did the dreaded finances for this month. Okay it looks like we have money spare this month albeit OD money, just need to be careful with it.

I have £11.79 to come from PayPal and Amazon, this will go off the BC and anything else that comes my way money wise.

Getting the hang of the wombling, just including Tesco points at the moment, as I still need to get my head around how it works, managed to amass 100 points last month :)

    Things to do this month:
Sew all 12 badges on to DD's camp blanket ready for Brownie camp
    NSD's
Try and fix DS's baby cuddly, it 'was' a slumber lion, but resembles a rag now....it has gone in the washer in a pillowcase and I'm hoping it will be salvageable but not holding out much hope :(
    Declutter and upload to eBay
AFD's - this will help my OLP and my weight, not going to go totally teetotal but cut down a bit (sound like an alcky but I dont drink a huge amount but too much for me)
    Keep to meal plan
Stick to the other bits on my September Aims, posted previously

Awww what are you going to do with his cuddly if you can fix it? Some people make memory items to preserve them.

  • Sounds like you're right on track PMO2 :) EBay and Amazon selling sounds great, plus your plans for NSD's and taking lunches, I'll be cheering you on :T

He survived the washer and the tumble drier :T so that's a relief. Told DS that Slumber is going to need major surgery though! I think DS will put him away in a drawer once he's fixed.
