It would Bob, but for the moment I need to stay where I am for the next 6 months at least. It doesn't look good on my cv that I've had all the different job changes recently.0

Glad the kidlets have settled at their new schools and house is everything you hoped it would be.
You seem to have settled in so fast, I think I was still unpacking 3 months in!
Hope work gets better soon, I can sympathise on that front. My workplace makes me miserable and morale is non-existent, but like you said, I need the job!
Thumbs down to bad takeaways - there's nothing quite so disappointing!:jDebt Free :j
Savings targets:

Thanks Ave, we still have lots of boxes left to unpack but they're hidden in the garage and the conservatory
The house is lovely and I do like it, it needs some tweaking but it's certainly liveable and that helps.0 -
Afternoon,
I have thought about things and I am going to stay at this company for the time being. If something else comes up in the meantime then I will consider it but I am not going to purposefully look.
I have set myself a few goals for this month and they are:- Lunches to work the rest of the month
- NSD's - I've got to get back in to the swing of these
- Meal plan
- Food shop - Only buy whats necessary
- Reduce alcohol intake - House has felt like being on holiday recently and as such this has increased.
- Walk more - The area is lovely and there are some nice parks near site too.
- £10 pw personal spends
- Sort my car insurance out and get the address changed - must find the details this weekend (another thing I've been putting off!)
- Gather totals for MBNA and BC and work out a plan to reduce them
- Do finances and work out a budget - I WILL DO THIS ONE
- Read my book
- Get plenty of sleep - Something I've been lacking of recently
That is it for the moment.0 -
Just a very quick one as I should be doing some work.
MBNA: £8,000
BC: £2,570
OD: £2,750
TOTAL £13,3200 -
They sound like achievable goals PM, glad everything settling down now. We moved into this house in 2007, we still have boxes in the attic to unpack!!!

Morning,
Lovely beautiful sun shiny day here this morning, great weather for hanging out the washingI do love that I can do that :rotfl:
Busy weekend, got the house to deep clean as well as various other bits...Finances included.
Need to do a top up shop, don't need much.
Will be back later with an update.0 -
It will take a bit to settle into a new routine after moving, but it sounds like it's all going in the right direction. Being able to take advantage of nice walks right on your doorstep is wonderful. We moved from an ugly big town to a lovely large village, every time I step out the door I'm so thankful that we made the decision to leave the old place behind. I still have it in my mind that I'd like to retire to somewhere like Wales or the north east, possibly even Scotland, but the idea of staying right where I am is starting to grow on me.0

Afternoon.
I did them....what was I scared of? I've done the finances and things don't look as dire as first thought, so I'm happy. We'll need to be careful as I think we'll have some residual stuff from last month with the move etc but I don't think we'll be too bad
I will do them again next Saturday just to keep on top.
Menu plan done for the next two weeksjust a few bits needed to get. I've got my plan sorted with regards to what needs defrosting next week for dinners.
95% of the washing dried out in the sunshine yesterday :T DH has ironed majority of it.
Kids have spent the majority of the time outdoors, which is fab.
House was cleaned yesterday, still can't believe just how dirty this place is! The previous owners didn't do much *sigh*
BC has gone up more than thought as there's bits I forgot about, but it's still manageable, will post that once it's caught up.
Dinner to be prepared and lunches to sort for next week.
Happy Sunday :T:T0 -
Morning,
Feeling bleurgh this morning, had a crap nights sleep so today is going to be a long one.
DD has her SATs this week, she was a bit worried about them but seems ok now, she's more happy about the pizza party on Friday lol
I have my lunch sorted for today and I'm back on the wagon.
Need to buy SiL a birthday card today, it's her birthday on Wednesday, will have a walk at lunchtime and pick her one up.
Need to buy my travel card and parking this morning, next month I will buy monthly as it's cheaper.
Aiming for a few NSD's this week, apart from using my weekly allowance which isn't included. I shouldn't spend much money.0
