It appears that MS don't have a clue what they are doing ...

Breaking Cortana, I'd call that a feature and not a bug.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
I agree - shame it doesn't kill Edge as well !Fightsback wrote: »Breaking Cortana, I'd call that a feature and not a bug.
I am trying to locate an ISO of anniversary update and as usual am being thwarted by MS's lack of ability to allow access to their update catalogue site by their own browser (when I try IE11 - It tells me "incompatible" - so I try Firefox !!
And still can't find the correct KB file
Anyone else had more luck ?0 -
I doubt it's a KB ... at 3.5GB it'll be more like a service pack.

I'm not sure it's even released yet. Today is the release date but not sure what time they plan to release it, given the Americans are in a timezone behind ours.I tried MEDIA CREATION TOOL and the option is not there !!

Plus the Media Creation Tool may be a bit later than when it appears in Windows update.
By the way what have you got against Edge? Granted it could do with more features, but it is fast and apparently very efficient on power usage.0 -
To start with - no menu - whyever not !?Jivesinger wrote: »I'm not sure it's even released yet. Today is the release date but not sure what time they plan to release it, given the Americans are in a timezone behind ours.

oh is that what that awful browser was with the address bar at the bottom, Edge? I thought I had mistaken changed the layout on something :rotfl:

Actually no it isn't.iammumtoone wrote: »oh is that what that awful browser was with the address bar at the bottom, Edge? I thought I had mistaken changed the layout on something :rotfl:
The one with the address bar at the bottom was an alternative version of Internet Explorer - it was only in Windows 8/8.1 and didn't survive as far as Windows 10.
Edge is rather better than that.0
