Let the games begin! I have serious issues with my agent, the landlord, and environmental health. There is an order for completed works, that have NOT been done. Environmental health will return to my home tomorrow. Our local MP is now involved. Why is everything such a fight? If any of you can point out another thread like this, then please do. As I am a newbie here.

Upon reading your posts again, I suspect you may be looking to be rehoused by the local council.
Otherwise, I am sure most people would have moved by now.
    I am a LandLord,(under review) so there!:p

    Great thread - not.

But I'm keeping my hands as far from the keyboard as I can (not far as you can see). I've already had my hand slapped once today by the powers that be. Guess that's what comes of being an evil landlord with a sense of humour!

Ooh, what did you get told off for? Being facetious?

    Debt-free and Proud!
Oh my, I have offended so many! I started the thread in a time of distress, and opened the cage to the lions! Please do not be my judge and jury, before you understand all the facts.

The head of the department for Environmental health arrived this morning. He brought his officer ( a stupid woman that was useless), she would not listen six weeks ago. Our agent was also present. The original work that was ordered, was NOT done. However, as it turned out, she was wrong anyway. The head, a very nice man (new his stuff), confirmed straight away, that it WAS penetrating damp (like we said all along). The stupid woman blamed it on condensation, ordered vents everywhere, and said it was our lifestyle. NOW, pay attention! The freehold is owned by our downstairs neighbours. (At the start of this thread, yes someone did say, that problems can be multifaceted). Our landlady appears to be somewhat scared of the freeholders, which is why I was so mad with her. Anyway, a new order is now in place. At last the exterior will be sorted! All done by September- hooray.
We did have a very good relationship with our landlady, it just all went wrong, when we had problems to do on the exterior. As the problems do not affect the lower flat, they are NOT interested. Well they will be now.

I do hope that the jokers here, have not put other tenants off.

Good guess, but no! (Shhh - don't highlight that post to them too or I'll be struck off!)

The post in question was deleted from this thread and involved an oriental recipe...

You'd think cooking tips were moneysaving wouldn't you?

This thread is a lesson on how not to win friends and influence people.

OP the way this board works is that people start threads specific to their issue or experience relating to house buying, renting and selling. Well actually that should be done if the OP can't find the required information on an existing thread. If you need help as a tenant then there's no point banning landlords from posting as there are some very knowledgeable landlords who post regularly on this board so it would be silly to try and exclude them.

In future if you just state your house buying, renting or selling issue in the OP rather than trying to alienate people you'll get far more helpful responses.

    What brand?

Isn't that site just a front for a load of companies to fleece money out of tenants?
