It's not for you to dictate whether only tenants can post in this thread. You are not in a position to request that.

Whilst I'm confident the thought is well meant, renting is a two pronged, even three pronged approach if an agent is involved.

As others have stated, for constructive feedback it's beneficial to have landlords, agents, tenants and those in a crossover to be allowed to weigh in on topics.

You can have bad landlords and good tenants and vice versa. Or bad agents and good landlords/tenants vice versa. If there is just one bad link in the chain that's when the problems occur.

Why tenants only? What about lodgers?? Don;t they have rights, why are you discriminating against them, poor old defenceless, downtrodden, lodgers, wot did they ever do to you to deserve such treatment!

I'm both a landlord and a lodger: Does that mean I'm even lower in your estimation than a plain & simple landlord? (Trust me, there are some very very simple landlords...).

There are several - many - landlords and agents posting on here who provide helpful responses to tenants & v v. And why not? Whatever happened to those old British traditions of decency, fair play & tolerance! Shame on you sir (Sir?)!

Best wishes & fraternal greetings btw to "The Tenants Voice". They do a good job.

PS Where would you class those members of the Windsors living rent free in your spectrum of categories, please? Not tenants, presumably....

    PPS re.
.....It is just that I have read many wicked comments, on a Landlord forum elsewhere. .....
    - do tell, where, please??

Yes I've seen some pretty awful comments from landlords on other forums, but they're a pretty decent lot over here and the bad ones get smacked down pretty quickly.

In fairness, there are an equal number of pretty awful comments from tenants.

Also some people are both landlords and tenants at the same time, so are they or are they not allowed in the thread? It's the age old paradox, Schrodinger's Landlord...
Would he allow the tenant to have a cat, though?

Here we go. Ok, lodgers I forgot. All are welcome, lets just play nice eh? Do cats have rights?
By the way, I DO NOT run the Tenants Voice.
This is just a thread to help tenants voice concerns, and for them to get some supportive advice.
    Anymore rules I have forgotten?
    Tips (I am a female)

OK, so this tenants thread DOES welcome landlords and lodgers, as well as cats (alive or dead - who knows?).

So, umm, how does it differ from any other thread on here?

This is just a thread to help tenants voice concerns, and for them to get some supportive advice.

They can get supportive advice by starting a thread about their issue.

Your thread is not constructive, quite the opposite.

Me, I'm just fretting about the lack of an apostrophe in the title.

Not that I'm trying to needle the OP...

I am neither a tenant nor landlord. I do own a fridge freezer and recently went to the dentist for a filling. Could someone point me in an appropriate thread for my specific demographic.

    Thanks.
