Speaking of reductions etc like the £40 cameras a while ago, Boots head office staff frequent this thread just as often as those who post in it. So everything that is a secret glitch is actually planned by head office in advance.
There is without a doubt, no way that Boots ever ever ever loose out on these things.
For example 200pts on a 99p mouthwash -
RESULT FOR US= we stock up on mouthwash and points to spend BACK in Boots
RESULT FOR BOOTS = they clear their stock of mouthwash that had'nt moved for ages and we spend 99p that we wouldn't have spent anyway.
I don't even think its that we think its a 'secret' glitch or that we're happy that we've 'outwitted boots' under no circumstances do I think we do do that, they know exactly what they're doing, and we all get something out of the situation. Everyone's a winner!!!
As for SAs not being allowed to buy stuff until they are on their breakwell thats kind of just life, and life isn't always fair, but it shouldn't be taken out on the customer.
I fully agree with people who ask prices of things in Boots (same in New Look) as sale stuff is often charged at a lower price than on the sale label - and we ALL know Boots are majorly inconsistent with their pricing - hence I will often check!
NOW... Back to our favourite topic.... "VOUCHERS" they look quite good. shame about the £10 spend, but might come in handy for people buying xmas presents from Boots, especially on a Xmas night :
£50 perfume gift set - £5 voucher = £45 + 1000pts = £35 for a £50 perfume. Pretty good!! I eat my words about them not issuing vouchers because its xmas - my speculation was rubbish!!!

The perfume vouchers say on the back that you can't use them on gift sets.

And if Boots is frequenting these threads hopefully they are taking on board the feedback on lapses in customer service by grumpy SAs!
I'm just grumpy about not being able to make the most of deals because I stupidly mislaid my advantage card and am not able to make the most of the current deals because my replacement cards has apparently been 'lost in the post'. Five weeks without a card but I shouldn't really complain as I got 1000 points as compensation for all my phone calls but somehow it is not the same!!
Never mind, Mum is lending me hers tomorrow!0 -
Peartree, I've been the same - lost without my AC! It's as though someone has cut off my right arm!
Stupid me left it in the machine about 3 weeks ago, realised at the till, went back but it had gone. Rang straight away as I had about £30 worth of points on it & luckily it hadn't been used.

What is screamingly annoying is that I rang (yet again) today, complained bitterly, but politely, and because it hadn't got to me after five weeks they went for a reissue (and gave me the extra points, to be fair). Then, I got home and the card had arrived - s*ds law!). But because they had reissued earlier today, that card was void and I'm going to have to wait 'up to 21 days' (for which read 35) for another one!0

Right I am confused I thought the Boot Beauty Boutique was opening on the 27th not today so how will they work out the first 50 to get goody bags if that makes sense. I am also annoyed coz everything seems to be out of stock.It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for something you are not.
