  • Tell me about it!!!!
My DH was sorting out bills etc last night and was going through bank statement - funnily enough Boots kept popping up :o . Had to explain that it was pressies for Christmas and that come December/January we won't have huge bills. Except, I can't go and browse all the lovely goodies

Me too!, OH looked at online cheque account statement and totted up my 'boot'sing' and said 'do you realise you have spent £130 just in boots over the last 2 months'
I did say that I had managed to buy most of the families xmas pressies so it was money well spent (only have our childrens main pressies to get.
But to no avail! he has issued me with an ASBO! he says it stands for Anti Social Boots Order  .
:A I WILL NOT USE MY SWITCH CARD:A

    Sorry - edit not working.

First person I spoke to in CS clearly thought I was inventing the beauty boutique, and passed me to a supervisor, who couldn't find it online, and then said 'to be perfectly frank, I've never heard of it and had no idea it was happening'. He will call back when he has found someone who has heard of it, and might know about stock availability. Bless them, eh?

checked AC machine this morning for new offers. I didn't get anything apart from a coupon for a free age rewind day and night cream miniature:D

Rushed down stairs to N7 counter, but SA said they had not received them yet. Coupon is dated 26th september. If I can't find a store (today) that has them in stock, I might not be able to use this coupon. The coupon doesn't have a 'valid until' date on it.

I got one of these vouchers this morning (Preston store) & when I took it to the counter the SA said that they didn't know anything about these samples but to keep hold of the voucher & to keep trying just in case they come in to the store in the future. I also got a 75 extra points voucher for a £10.00 spend.

    £3.99 in Wilkinsons :)

    http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/0135092
I was looking at the 3 for 2's today in boots, they had a lynx vice gift pack with shower gel and spray for £4.99, just underneath they had the same size box with a free 3 month subscription to lads mags worth £23 and the same lynx vice/spray, guess how much?

    £11.49!!

I tried to get a SA to check the price explaining it wasn't free if I was paying £6.50 for it but she just didn't get it. Obviously not a MSE!!

I do love boots though , i hate them sometimes too :D
I don't like the older SAs, they allways seem to get funny when i'm buying bargains, take for instance when i asked how much the purfume with the big red stickers on were ??
Me "can you tell me how much they are please?"
SA "well it says £10 on it so how much do you think it is?" (sarcastically)
Me " a quid maybe";)
SA "and what gives you the impression it £1?"
Me "scan it and see, im phsycic you see!!"
SA scans it and it comes up as £1 :rotfl: looks like this  then says
"ummmm i think that is wrong"
Me "i don't, can i have them all please" (pointing to all with red stickers!)
SA " i'll just get my manager"
Manager comes over says yep thats right, give the girl what she wants!!! then walks away.
SA "it's not very fair that the staff havn't got any of these you know"
Me "what do i care love, could you put them in my basket, thanks"
I then walk away with a big cheesy grin, leaving crabby SA stood gossiping and scanning others that are not reduced!!!! love it :T

Why are so many people on this board so nasty and spiteful towards Boots SAs?
Of course the girls are going to get annoyed. How would you feel working in Boots if you were selling amazing bargains to everyone while not being allowed to buy any yourself until your break that may be 5 hours away? By that time everything is gone!
Also if you know the things were reduced why ask for them to be scanned?...To purposefully rub the SAs nose in it?
I've worked in different shops and I have to say that while some customers are lovely, Boots has the highest percentage of customers that are just plain nasty!

By the way this isn't aimed at you personally jimsmum! I'm just feeling very frustrated after dealng with rude customers while having to be pleasant to them as they pay for their bargains that they gloat over. :(

If Boots had a national pricing/reductions policy then it wouldn't be necessary to make so many genuine price enquiries. And I don't think a lot of SAs realise that prices vary from store to store - I have sometimes been made to feel that I was being somehow dishonest in saying 'no thanks' to an item that scans at full price in my local store, but I know has been reduced by 75% in other stores. And I recently overheard SAs saying 'there's no lie they won't try to get a bargain' after being asked about reduced perfumes by a perfectly pleasant young customer.
