Why are so many people on this board so nasty and spiteful towards Boots SAs?
Of course the girls are going to get annoyed. How would you feel working in Boots if you were selling amazing bargains to everyone while not being allowed to buy any yourself until your break that may be 5 hours away? By that time everything is gone!
I've worked in different shops and I have to say that while some customers are lovely, Boots has the highest percentage of customers that are just plain nasty!
I'm just feeling very frustrated after dealng with rude customers while having to be pleasant to them as they pay for their bargains that they gloat over. :(

Orlaith, i don't think people are being spiteful but having to wait 5 hours for a break isn't a just reason to be rude, that's an issue to be taken up with management, it's not the customers' fault. I actually have a very high opinion of Boots SAs and think most are more than helpful. However I have also overheard some snide comments from certain SAs about customers and that's just bad form.

sniff sniff... i hope i smell new vouchers :rotfl: :rotfl:
i can't stop thinking about the 90% off sale in january

has anybody ordered a new ac and they said they are cancelling the old one and you won't be able to use it again but the till still puts points on your card when you buy things and the acm still gives you vouchers etc ???
I'm hoping they havn't cancelled it and have transfered my points to the other one too,so that leaves me with 2 cards and double the points i had ;)
please pray for me :A :rotfl: :rotfl:

is anybody else feeling a bit rubbish that you are so sensible and bought prezzies throughout the year but now really want to do xmas shopping but can't because you don't really need anything!!
    !:D

I feel exactly like this and also cant stop thinking about the sales!!! I would love to do the 342 shop and spend hundreds on the special boots nights to get 1000pts per £50....but not as much as i love the sale!!!

As for the SAs in Boots loads are indeed nice, like the majority of customers, but I think the issue is overhearing SAs commenting on customers when they are in earshot, no matter if you arent getting the bargains the customers are, no matter if you really think the person you are serving is a pig headed gloating customer...essentially the customer is always right - but customers are becoming less and less frequently treated properly by SAs...again not all ! This isn't at you Orlaith85, I just mean generally, the most unprofessional thing any waitress/SA could do is slag the customer off whilst they can hear them!

Just to let you all know, the latest Estee Lauder gift time at Boots should be 11-27 October.....just into the Xmas Shopping Nights....any 2 items, 1 to be skincare.

Apparently you get to choose your eye-shadow & lippy colours...

  • Woo, found a bargain in my, frankly, tiny Boots.

Disposable, waterproof cameras, reduced from £8.99 to £2.25 and still on BOGOF.

So for the princely sum of £9, I managed to buy 8 cameras. Great for my childs birthday party for all the kids to play around with :T
See the stars they’re shining bright
    Everything’s alright tonight
  • have just been round to my local boots after getting loads of bargains last week due to shop shutting for a refit and it no longer sells anything nice!!!!!.
its a health store now so it only stocks medicines etc...I'm gutted! no shampoo, no bath smellies, no make up, no nothing!!!!! . Im sure my DH has had something to do with this as in a previous post he'd discovered how much i'd psent in boots recently and banned me from going in for a while.
we do have a nice consulting room though where i suppose they can try and surgically remove my switch and advantage cards from my purse :)

nearest good boots now is in town!
going to sit inside my linen hamper now where i keep all my boots goodies and remember the good times me and my local boots had together.
:A I WILL NOT USE MY SWITCH CARD:A

Also if you know the things were reduced why ask for them to be scanned?...To purposefully rub the SAs nose in it?

By the way this isn't aimed at you personally jimsmum! I'm just feeling very frustrated after dealng with rude customers while having to be pleasant to them as they pay for their bargains that they gloat over. :(
I treat how im treated !
If boots staff actually listened in their meetings , spoke to their managers or read a notice board in the staff room then maybe they would get some bargains too
I agree that some customers can be rude and it is very frustrating working in a shop when you get some rude customers and you just have to grin and bear it.but as i said i treat as im treated :D
if you read the previous thread you will see why i don't like this specific SA too!!
i overheard her talking unpleasantly about me when i was stood right in ear shot of her.
    I heart The Capital ;)
