Great news on the parents' evening!
Oh no! to the miscommunication - but you are still learning all this stuff, and you don't know what interpretation other people will put on things. You live and learn.
Great news about small sleeping though. It is stolen time.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I had a real rant at Mr Bob last night not at him but towards him. He agreed I seemed quite stressedAnd understatement of the century goes to....
If anything I think half the reason for mental discomfort is the fact things are getting much better. I've been living on the edge for nearly 5 years now, which is how long I have been working for myself and dealing with literally no money a lot of the time. I expect things to go wrong. The amount of energy I expend on 'managing' is enormous. We usually follow the same pattern month after month. OH gets paid at the end of the month. Around the 15th we run out of money. We don't get any more till the 25th. The big bills are always paid by then, and I scrape and scratch around on my side of things to provide money for food, travel and a couple of small bills left at that point. Despite working almost full time hours for that length of time, often doing 10 hour days in pretty rubbish conditions (no lunch break, noone to cover ever) there is always something extra to pay for or the business has under delivered.
I don't think my mind can cope with that little patch of blue sky I can see now. It is sending it in a million directions at once. And that is scary as hell for me." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hopefully when the pattern continues and that patch of blue sky gets bigger you will be able to deal with it more effectively.
Being stressed about money is a habit for you, so it will take a while to break when things are looking brighter but it will be lovely when it happens - and look at all the amazing ways you have found to save money in the meantime!
You'll be debt free before you know it and able to save save save
You deserve that blue sky Bob, so try and appreciate that the universe works in mysterious ways and now is your time!Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭0 -
What a turbulent time for you Bob, it's been a massive change for you and it sounds like the issues with communication etc. stress you out because it's your business, your reputation and you want it to be the best for your customers. All good things but can totally understand that it's unnerving when things go right after being so difficult for so long.
You are so near to being debt free that's fantastic, and when you have your reserve built up you'll not be so concerned if something extra needs paying for.
It's getting good because you've worked for it! Hope you will be able to recharge your batteries over the festive period, look after yourself.

Sorry times seem tough Bob, even when there is that blue sky, it can still seem tough. Just think if you continue saving at the same rate you have paid off your debt this year, you will have £1,300 'slush' fund by this time next year, which will give you some breathing space should January be lean on the business front in 2018. But you will also have an additional year of business building behind you . There is no denying SE is hard. Fact. The uncertainty that comes with it is hard to deal with, when DH was SE we often went from his wages being less than being in a MW job to ok and back again with little or no predictability. But as you said in your post yesterday, you don;t have to paid extraordinary costs for someone else to look after you DD and your DS afterschool, and those times you will look back on with great fondness in the future, I'm sure. I know I feel lucky even when I can pick DD up from school once a week or so and sad that I can't the rest of the time.
Keep going, you are an inspiration in what you achieve:D0 -

Thank you Huggle. You are exactly right. I do worry a lot about people being happy with the service I provide. My reputation is important to me. I am working both days this weekend which will be full on. But as of the 23rd I don't have anything in the diary till the middle of Jan at present. So I hope to have time to rest and reflect then. Appreciate your help. :A" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

PF you are right. I do know that the trade off with SE is the hours spent with the children, which as you rightly say is priceless. I do feel ungrateful moaning especially to people sacrificing a lot to be out earning a good wage. Thanks again for giving me a cheerup when I needed it most.:T" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
