Well good evening.
Just put my boomerang son back to bed. He has a bit of a sore throat and had realised he didn't have a drink upstairs so down he trecked. Then his feet were cold so he had to come and snuggle in on the sofa with us just to get warm. And then he wondered could he try on my ancient lambs wool hiking socks that were keeping my feet so warm. And then he thought my tea looked appealing and might help his throat....as OH was busy taking up the hems on a pair of trousers it fell to me to return to sender....a cuddle and a chat and he's off to sleep. And I'm sat down again. Probably have an hour till DD wakes up again
Today's evening meal was some lovely home made soup brought home from the weekend. Courgette and mint. Served with a couple of thick slices of wholemeal bread and some blue cheese. The bread was bought on Friday and it's still nice. Goes to show that nothing should ever go in the bin.
It's been lovely the last two nights having good healthy ready food just to heat through. Last night was home made baked beans with some chorizo thrown in.
We have enough food in leftovers to keep going at least another couple of days which is ace.
I walked over to the business this morning for a meeting, then back. It was a gorgeous sunny cold day. And another good day on the roadkill, 6p today. I absolutely love finding money. You will never earn cash as quickly or as string free as finding the odd penny here and there or in my case £55 this year. How cool is that!
I had a nice email confirming a booking tonight, so that's another deposit to collect.
All told a good Tuesday.

Evening Hun,
Your balance is going down nicely I see, that's fantastic.
Although not a fan of blue cheese, your dinner sounded nice and fresh.
Hope DS is better by the morning and that DD has lots of sleep, so you can rest.
Overall sounds like a fantastic day though

Thank you PurpleMum
Both the kids have colds it would appear. Lots of sneezing going on and DS is very husky. We've woken to a very frosty world this morning but as I don't need to do anything much that's cool." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Forgot to do my update today. Terrible!
Well. I managed to pay another £24 off the card. So I am now squaring up to £700 as my new mini target. I'd like to reach that by Christmas but I also have to be a bit careful as January is likely to be very quiet for work, and I need to try and focus on starting to accrue money for my annual accounting bill which is due in April (£800) so £200 per month to save from Jan. Yes I know I should have saved some already, last year I had it all ready to go sat in a savings account for ages. But with starting a new business in September it's been impossible. I hope I'm out of the woods now but won't know for sure till all money for December is gathered in.
Both the kids have hacking coughs all of a sudden, snotty noses and slight temps. They are both allergic to warm clothing however. DS will come out of school in a blooming T shirt, and DD will not keep gloves or a hat on to save her/my life. So no doubt colds are coming our way too....
I've just finished reading the first book I have even tried to read all the way through since having DD. It was thought provoking. All about people who pretend to be someone else online in order to benefit somehow. It was interesting reading the central story of how the author was drawn in through a complex web of deceit, by one woman who was acting out 16 different characters, all with their own Facebook pages and Twitter accounts etc. He fell in love with one of the fake characters and spent 2 years thinking he was chatting to her on the phone etc but all along it was just her mother! Very weird.
In the spirit of brand dropping have been road testing the sainsburys £4 tub of Christmas chocs which were £1 cheaper than the tins of Roses and Quality street. But tbh I think they taste cheap. I usually like the basics range very much but the chocolate isn't a patch on proper dairy milk chocolate...see be glad diary peeps that I do these things for you. Now you can all stampede out and buy the right chocolates

I don't think I will be late to bed tonight I'm utterly knackered. Both kids were up last night due to their colds. Ah well.
Had an early start, round trip over to the business and back. Took DD to the playground briefly but she got so cold and then fell over and had a bit of a meltdown so we came home quickly. Warmed her up and she had a nap whilst I baked for the school fair on Saturday and some cheese scones for us. OH was working from home again so he came down to sample one for morning break.
The leftover supplies have been run down to the bone almost. I have been Miss Thrifty again, using up old milk in the scones, black bananas (frozen and defrosted) for banana bread, using up ciabattas by toasting them for sandwiches. Nothing has been wasted.
I walked a card round to a friend of my sons during my mornings walk which saved me a stamp. I have another card I can probably roll in to this weekend's plans too. It may only have been whatever a 2nd class stamp is these days (sorry don't know) but it's the point that counts. Look after the pennies
I have also managed to nab an item of clothing my son needs for school from another Mum which is a saving on a new one. She says she doesn't want anything for it which is kind.
Recieved £50 unexpectedly, well it's revenue I haven't planned for within December's plans because it is extra bookings. Looks like I may have another £150 on top of that for the same reason based on emails.
I am in a conundrum. Is it better to
A) Pay it all off the CC?Save all of it towards the accountants bill next year?
C) A mixture?
Who knows.
Right a cup of tea is calling me, fingers and toes are freezing. Night

Hey Bobs! I would save it for the tax bill (although it would kill me) or any other 'emergencies', but the month before tax bill is due, set up a 12 month 6% kids saver account you pay into monthly and put your payment a month in that for next year.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thanks Fox It is not tax thank goodness, only my accountants bill. Completely agree it should have been saved for. This is literally the first month I've had this year where I have any cash to spare. But bodes well for 2017" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Morning Bob,
Hope both kids are feeling better today? Colds are horrible especially when you're a child.
Woo hoo to the cc balance, I'm sure you'll hit your target
Great news about the £50 too, I'd be inclined to save it too.

I'd save it too. Lessens the worry if indeed January is a lean month for revenue. If you have stupendous bookings in the lead up to your accountant's bill you can always pay a chunk off the cc then. Just be sure to keep it in a separate account so it doesn't "disappear"!CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420
