Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Good afternoon

Thanks PM02 sadly last night involved projectile in the bed, full bed strip at 3am and no sleep really till 4am when Mr decided I couldn't take any more being climbed all over by a hot sweaty poorly girl, and rocked her off to sleep. Bit tired today...

I also had the delight of my only filling coming out just before bedtime, don't blame it on the sunshine, the moonlight, the good times, blame it on a toffee ;)

So life as usual has gone off piste and I'm a bit piste off...
    ....

    School run imminent.

    Back later. Bob

  • I hate days and nights like that. My insomnia is at full throttle at the moment and the kids at school keep telling me I look tired. Jeez, thanks.
Hope that your day picked up a bit.

Thank you PF it was a much better night. DS is saying he feels much better this morning and actually slept till 7.30 which is the latest in his entire 8 years.
We've just given DD another dose of meds though as she was hot again.

We are off to the school fair today to support. Should be a nice day.

    Hi All

A good day here. Got everyone up, hoovered downstairs, put a load on, DW etc. Went to the supermarket to get the last few bits for the event tomorow. Scored a £5 Argos voucher at the tills. Pretty handy.

We went to the school fair which was a really nice event. Had lunch there as well.
Managed to travel there and back still on the oyster card I found yesterday, two days of travel for free is £6 roughly.

Did some prep for tommorow, then baked sultana, lemon & ginger scones & made a Christmas cake.

Managed to squeeze one last meal out of the fridge. Heated up some home made chicken stock, added onions, carrots, peas & bacon, plus a couple of glugs of tomato pasta sauce. Served with spaghetti topped with a handful of grated cheddar and a smidge of blue cheese. Oh and a grated carrot, mint & avocado salad.

Fridge is now empty and ready for any leftovers that come back with me tommorow.

Found 6p roadkill today and OH won £5 on a scratch card :)

  • Hope the event goes ok today and you have plenty of left overs (in a good way ;))

Well done on food use up and scratch card win
  • I really need to make more of an effort with food use up. I look in a full fridge and see nothing... you put me to shame.
  • Is dd feeling better poor thing, horrible when they're poorly but draining too when you're up during the night.

Hope the event is good for you today, your sconces sound delicious btw and I love Xmas cake. I need to think about what I going to make for Xmas Day we're at my parents but helping with the cooking.

    Have a lovely day, H x

Thanks PF. It was a nice little event. The family were happy with everything.

Ah you are great considering how much time you get! Working in kitchens for the last 5 years has helped me to see how nothing is ever necessarily wasted.

Thanks Huggle, she is. Both of them are. I wonder in her case if teething is to blame as one of her cheeks is constantly going bright red. That can cause a cough and even vomiting.

Thank you, what would be on your top ten list to make for xmas day? It's always such a fine line between having enough and overload.
