Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

Thank you yes Verbatim it really is ridiculous how things go. Yesterday I left the house at 2pm and by 5.30 had recieved 3 more enquiries. One of which was a very late booking for this weekend! So that's another £100. I have paid off another £41 today from the credit card to get if under the £900 mark.

Another good thing was I recieved a bid today on an eBay item for £15 so that will go straight to the CC once I have it.

It's absolutely freezing here today. Did an hours cycling first thing, round trip to the premises and back, and have the same to do about 8pm tonight. So at least I will deserve my dinner :) chicken wings, rice and oven roasted veg.

    Night all

  • Hi bob

I've been reading your diary today. It's absolutely amazing how much you get through and how brave to start up your new project. Speaking as someone who has always been an employee I've a lot of admiration for entrepreneurial people like yourself.

I've subscribed and look forward to popping in!

Thank you SO much. I am feeling a bit flat and low this morning and your comment really lifted me. Much appreciated.

    Good Morning All

In the end my lovely husband did the lock up last night which meant he sat around for 3 hours waiting to do so, however he was fed by the ladies :) I was grateful not to have to cycle off into the cold rain that started coming down around 5pm and persisted for hours after. He got back at 9 to find me and both kids still awake in our bed. DS hates going to bed without his story but I find it impossible with a wriggly 13 month old who won't sit still when she's also desperately tired!
And this morning he's gone off again to fix some new handles to the kitchen doors, take a look at a piece of equipment that is leaking (I may well join the Basil Fawlty school of machine maintenance & threaten any further breaking down machines with a birch branch) & unblock a sink! And they say romance is dead after 10 years of marriage.

DS needs to be talked into writing his thank you notes today from his birthday last weekend. Only 3 need to be posted though. I am hitting up our stash of odds and ends to complete this job. My husband's Mum always says 'oh you needn't write to thank us' but I think it's really important. I also think it's sad that the thank you note is probably doomed to the basket of history imminently. People dont send them to us by and large which I always think slightly rude...

Anyway! On today's agenda apart from that, have the late booking I mentioned so once OH is back I will probably go! It's just a let in and go, but I also have my new client popping by to see facilities. This afternoon will have some time at home then pop back again at 5.30.

    Right! On with the show...

    Evening

Just had notification that my PayPal money has arrived so off to make that £15 payment. Will also get the item ready to post tommorow. I have an assortment of preused polybags I keep for eBay stuff so the only spend will be postage.

We had a nice roast dinner for tea time, it was only a small joint but fed us all with enough for seconds. I made fruit scones and ginger bread whilst the oven was on. I used up my collection of fruit that had been rejected by the family for being too soft etc, which I freeze and keep for crumbles etc. These scones have orange, lemon, peach and plum in them. The Ginger Bread is a favourite of OH. Im going to drizzle it with rum icing once it's cold. Puts hairs on your chest :)

Right I'm going to pop off for a nice hot bath :)
