Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning All

Well have just waved DH and DS off so just me and the little one. Sitting in bed where it's warm with an episode of Everyone Loves Raymond, love that show.

Today will be a spend day as need travel money and food. On the payday countdown now with 11 days ahead. Have hit the lumpy cash flow stage again. I'm owed a bit that Ive been chasing up and am hopeful of receiving today. But the business rent and rates are paid early (due tommorow and did it yesterday) so that's a relief. I have an event Saturday and then a longer event the following week. So irritatingly for me I will earn quite a lot between 25th and 27th. But we won't 'need' it then as payday for us is the 25th. Now this week is the skint week we seem to always get. But as I have said before if I can just get through December which is so busy I will be working doubles some weekend's and into Jan and Feb when I have no business rent for those 2 months I should finally pull ahead as things will have chance to mount up.
By the end of Feb that would be 6 months since I started the new business and I think to have things stable by then is good work?

In other news I think the little one will start speaking properly soon. She is very musical in her range of noises and occasionally 'says' things just to tease us. She pointed at her bear and said Teddy the other day but hasn't repeated it since. She has on occasion waved and said hiya as well, does daddy every so often 'seemed' to be saying Playground when we were at her favourite one and she could see it as we approached. It's very exciting as I can't wait till we can communicate properly. My DS didn't say much till about 14 months then it all came quite quickly and by 2 people would say how articulate he was. Mind you I think a lot of that is he doesn't have the somewhat unfortunate Sath Landon accent, although he did say ain't the other day and my husband was quick to point out we don't say ain't in this house!

    Hello

Annoying day in the end. Looks like there is a vital repair to do at the business that I have to find a minimum of £60 to have looked at, and that's before I find out if it's fixable. It was only in September that I had to pay out around £300 for other vital repairs to two items. It honestly feels like one wobbly step forward and two back.

That said I had a good meeting with a potential new client and a phone call from another.

Still waiting to be paid from the person I've been chasing.

    Ugggghh.....

That said thank goodness for the silliness of children. DS had my in stitches trying to work out how many boys you could fit in our yard (from the song ' my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard') He doesn't appreciate the double meaning yet thankfully..he reckons 150. Although they'd have to be thin...

Ah how cute do you kids sound, love the stage your dd is at learning the words. There are some days when my ds doesn't stop talking, honestly it does drive you round the bend a bit. On those days he wakes up and it's questions about Dinosaurs at half past seven in the morning! Glad your ds is making you laugh.

Annoying for the cost of the repair, will be good to get your surplus built up over the next few months.

I hope you get paid tomorrow from customer.

You must have to be very patient for Dinosaur Q&A at that time. I finally told mine to be silent tonight when during his homework he was asking me ' how did the people in Mission Impossible do the missions if they were impossible':mad: send in the gin!

And thank you. So do I so flipping rude:mad:

  • Ha ha, definitely sounds like mine must be a thing about 8 year old inquisitive brains! At least we didn't get the question my parent's did 'Name me a dinosaur you don't know'!
  • Oh Hun, what a day and grrr to the customer not paying!

I love the funny things kids say, mine are getting that much older now :( recent one from DD to her daddy:
'Daddy, can you fart the alphabet?'
    DH 'Erm...no, why?'
DD 'I think some people can.....can you burp it instead?':rotfl:
