Hi All
Thanks for popping in Cat, Husky and Doobop
I have had an average day. But have had more conflict. Again can't go into detail. But I feel so fed up right now. I feel I have spent my whole life being other people's emotional punch bags. I try my absolute best to be a good caring person and it is so hard to accept that many will interpret that as a sign to be horrible in return. What's the solution? Become a hard hearted b@stard. I doubt I could pull it off in any case.
Now in a horribly awkward position where I feel bad for expressing my wants. But can't be helped.

Oh Bob, vent away.
You are a kind and lovely person and I too doubt the you could be horrible back and it's hard to believe that some people could take advantage of your lovely nature.
I have learnt over the years that sometimes you have to express how you feel, even if it upsets some people (in my case family) in order for balance to be restored. Xx0 -
Thanks PM really hope things will be brighter in the morning." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hope this morning is better Bob. Sadly being nice to people is no guarantee that they'll return the favour. However what it does do is let you hold your head high and know that you haven't compromised on your values. Something to be proud of!
(This doesn't mean you can't be assertive though. Because that's being kind to yourself).0 -

Hope today is brighter Bob - I know how you feel as I'm quite similar myself in terms of considering myself to be a decent human being and then being disappointed by the behaviour of others. Lots of love to you xxxNot giving up

Hi All
I feel as though my life is a constant adrenaline spike. Up down up down. Today the situation that blew up yesterday was defused. And all has resolved. For now. I am still very annoyed with those concerned but at least I will sleep tonight vs last night's wearying re runs and angle by angle coverage every time I closed my eyes.
Ratison What you said about assertiveness being kindness to ourselves really hit home. I am no walk over but I often make excuses for people or empathise too much. I am going to really think about being harder in future...
Foxy thank you! An army of wombles is a powerful image. We'd be unstoppable until one of us found a shiny object and then the whole pack of us would grind to a halt
Cat I think we are very similar from all you say. Stalwart get on with it kinda gals. But just sometimes it's a step too far you know.
Anyway. Today was busy as I worked an event. All went well. I came home with
1 box of 6 eggs - £0.85
About 3 cooked rashers of bacon (pack of 24 was £5) £0.63
A box of home made hummus - 1 can cost 40p and I used 2. Claim for 40p
A quarter of a 6 Pinter of whole milk £0.50
3 ciabattas £0.75
Three quarters of a full Lurpack £3
3 kiwi fruit £0.40
5 plums £0.60
6 slices of ham £0.60
100g of grated cheese £0.80
Some icing sugar already made into icing £0.20
Going to claim £8.73 for wombling. I also found 6p roadkill.
When I got home I made a skinny lasagne with the other half of the 500g mince I used for spag book last night. Skinny because it was really only enough to do 1 full layer and one teeny one. But with wedges and salad it fed us all. I also made mince pies with one of my 10p jars of mince from last year. The sell by is 2017 so god knows why they have to YS it just because xmas is over.
The kids are both down and I am finally relaxing. Netflix and hot tea coming up
