PM02 - hardly! You have been ill and had a lot going on. Does the tooth bother you?

Well I am on golden time right now. OH has the kids for an hour. I decided I needed a bit of a break. I genuinely can't remember the last time I was alone and not at work if that makes sense.

Have had some lovely developments in DD this week. She can now do star fingers to Twinkle Twinkle. And obviously recognises stars in other contexts. Read her Good Night Moon and she reacted to the stars in that too. So thrilling as a parent when all the jabber you pour into them begins to come back.

She also went to her book trolley and brought me a book when I asked her. Which is quite a good one as its ahead of development milestones according to the monthly emails I get. Quoted 15 to 18 months for that.
    Proud of my beautiful girl.

I have decided to set my sights on hitting £700 by xmas. I dont think £0 is possible. Although I will try. But £700 would mean I had paid off £2k this year.

I haven't had a penny in Mat benefits (too complicated) so I am proud of that.

    Have a good day.

Good news on the 8 day booking each month next year. That should be very good. Take it you'll want a bit if a firmer contract for that just to protect yourself if you've turned away other bookings etc...

Loving the payment coming down further :D

Thank you PF. Payments slower than molasses in June right now but I haven't stopped :)

I do need to protect myself more its true. I am going to take your excellent prompt (& that raised by Huggle) & look into it formally.

  • Hi Bob,

No the tooth isn't a problem, I think they just want to take it out for the sake of it.

£2k paid off this year is amazing :)

Enjoy your 'me' time, you deserve it.
  • Ah your dd sounds beautiful, so lovely to see all the new skills, mannerisms and characters develop. So cute!

Hope you had a good break today, your progress on the debt is fab - a great amount of money paid back over the year.

Great news on the bookings next year, did the non payers finally cough up?

Ouch to the tooth, what a shame it's not covered £250 is a lot to find - but don't suffer in pain!

Thanks PM02 and Huggle for your words of encouragement. I was thinking today as I had my coffee alone, how much I would like to see £2k on the table in front of me to be able to visualise that being paid off the debt. Whilst it's all virtual it doesn't seem real somehow.

And no...the one person I am waiting on still hasn't although I was told it would be yesterday....lame...

    Morning All

    Can't believe I didn't post yesterday!

For once I don't feel I have much to say. Half term has come and gone so fast. We are all off today and I just have one job to take care of on the business side. So hopefully a peaceful day. We need those don't we.

    Have a great Friday everyone.

    Thanks Cat and PM02

I've had a good day of bumbling about really. My achievements (lol)

    1. Mr went into the loft a day ago to put some bits up there and brought down all the 12 to 18 month clothing and toys. There was tonnes!! Although Miss is a lady in training obviously (not much sign of that when she's trying to jab her fingers into my eyes, nose and mouth) she can still wear a lot of DSs old things. I've realised that sentence makes it sound like DH didn't come out of the loft yet ;) but don't worry he did...Pleased for the lovely 'free' clothing and toys, not pleased for the enormo washing pile it generated. I have been washing constantly since then to get everything through the machine and line dried. I am pleased to say I haven't given in to the tumble drier despite the sheer volume of work in just hanging it all out and bringing it back in each day, moving wet things and drying things around in rotation.

    2. After a quiet stint on the roadkill front I found 4p today.

    3. Mr and DD wanted to go swimming. I remembered that last time we went I couldn't swim with DD as the little pool was closed and the big pool too cold and busy. So they refunded me but for both OH and I. So today both of them swam for free.

    4. I had 150 in Mr S points coupons. One was for 50 points for a bag of leaves which I would have bought anyway the other for 100 points if you spent over £5.25 on coffee. So I bought 2 250g bags of decent organic coffee which will see us out for a couple of months. It was also enough to push me into the next nectar reward level too.

    5. The client today actually paid me ;)

    6. Cycled to the quick errand I had to do and back (60 mins good exercise)

    7. Used up lots of bits from yesterday in meals today. It always makes me laugh when people take a dim view of leftovers. Things like cooked chips, cooked pasta, chopped herbs. Cold bacon. What do those people think their ding cuisine contains? None of that is freshly cooked is it.

    8. We walked to and from the swimming pool so no cost for the bus. Me and DD mooched about whilst the others swam.

    9. Have managed to assimilate most of the loft toys into the front room already. So things are less messy. Need to clear the early baby toys out of the travel cot so there is more room.

    10. Still haven't put the heating on at home yet. It's just not needed and with our back door open all day as DS likes to go on the trampoline several times an hour! I'd be paying to heat the sky :)

And tonight I will be watching more of American Horror on Netflix, so thats our wild night planned.

It's the small things that keep me happy :)
