    Morning Everyone

So after my am drams yesterday a much needed £100 popped up this morning. It only has to tide us over till Tuesday so I now can stand down defcon 5 level worry and go back to usual medium stressed ;)

Today we have a friend over for my son till mid afternoon and OH has popped out to see his best mate. It was really nice to see the Mum of the little boy as they are now at different schools and I miss seeing her each day.

Just about to give the boys and DD lunch. Then hopefully they will be up for a trip to the park.

It's very cold here today but sunny. My washing has gone out to line dry anyway.

Anyway not a very exiting update but sometimes those are good.

    Morning All (just)

The last day of real brokedom is half way over! Reasons to be cheerful #1.

I am really ticked off to have had to send a 2nd chasing email to a client. Nothing I can do now. I just dont understand the nerve of people to know they owe but ignore messages. Moving on....

Things I am grateful for today.

    1. Spent a lovely period in the garden this morning with DD collecting crunchy leaves in a bucket. Picked her a couple of dandelions to blow the seeds off which she finds funny. We shovelled tiny stones into a tray with a spade, the noise was pleasing to her. Nature is always so fascinating.

    2. My son has another play date this afternoon. I am really glad he is finding children he likes again. It's one of the main reasons he freaks out when I suggest camp as the last time he went he didn't know anyone which is apparently awful when you are 7....it's very nice of the other Mum.

    3. My husband has been invited to a meeting tonight that has some fantastic opportunities involved. His skills being recognised is great for his confidence.

We have to set off in around 30 mins for the play date. Depending on how long it goes for I might just stay out otherwise it's a bit of tooing and frooing.

    Have a good day all.

  • Nature is beautiful, I love this time of year when the leaves are a rainbow of colours!

Hope your ds had a lovely play day, I totally get how hard it is going to things when you don't know anyone.

Bah to customer, I know they put down a deposit but is there a written hiring form they have to fill out with the terms of payment on it?

Good luck to your hubby, fingers crossed for some exciting opportunities.

Well done on not using the credit Bob. It is still early days for your business, but soon you will have your business account buffer built up and you are smashing that debt of yours too.

And coffee in the park when the leaves are turning red is gorgeous, even if you have to make your own coffee and take it with you.

I told my kids if they caught a leaf before it hit the ground they could make a wish. Cue running around like a loon.
It is surprisingly difficult to do when you actually try.

    Thanks Huggle.

Re payment. In 4 years of operating various events as well as my old business this is only the 2nd time I have ever had this issue. I don't do written contracts no. Mainly because I am dealing with people I have usually built up a relationship with and all emails have terms on them. So....maybe I do need to man up and get more formal.

Pride comes before a fall as they say. Found out today (won't bore on) that some dental work I thought I was covered for. I'm not. It's almost £250 worth. I haven't decided yet what to do. I'm in no pain and it was very much a 'the x ray indicates' that there MAY be an issue but we want to act on it now. Well. I'm going to let that roll around for a bit and see what I think of it.

Have had quite a good day other than that. Paid a bit off the CC as the first batch of our monthly cash came in today. There are 3 birthdays in our house in November so can't go too crazy with overpayments.

I finally heard from the non payers. Busy few days apparently but it's now been done. I shall check in a minute or two ;)

Last night I had confirmation of a booking all the way off in Feb. Which means I need to get my skates on with regards some other bits as I need my big booking sorted (have 1 party wanting to do an 8 day block every month of next year)

    Hope everyone is ok

  • Good news on the 8 day booking each month next year. That should be very good. Take it you'll want a bit if a firmer contract for that just to protect yourself if you've turned away other bookings etc...

Loving the payment coming down further :D

    Hey,

Sorry been wrapped up in my own little world to properly comment.

Can fully understand the leaving it be regarding the dentist, mine is insistent in taking out a small indent tooth that I've had for years.

Yay to the cc payments, it's coming down nicely.

Fantastic that you've got the 8 day payment block, things are coming together lovely.
