I hope everything works out and all the cash payments happen and you find out where the cheques are, is it possible to change the date of your bill due day it might be a bit late this month but for next month onwards?
I have just done that for our car payment, we had several bills going out on the same day which left us short for food money. It included the mortgage so was about £1000 going out in one day!!
It's sounds like to is hard to get ahead of yourself, is it possible to build up a float at all for the business account even if it's a little at a time. I'm pretty sure you've already looked at this :-)
Hope you have a good day, H x0 -
Thanks Huggle I keep meaning to with the gas and electricity. One day would make all the difference. I think the reason I haven't is because it would make things harder for one month. As we'd end up paying one bill twice in a billing period.
I do need to build up a buffer on both sides of the tracks. The business has been a hard nut to crack as cash comes in a piecemeal manner and it seems I always need just the amount I have. It should get better now with things picking up.
If all the enquiries counted for cash I'd be laughing." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi Bob, I'm afraid I haven't read the full 18 pages but I have read the first post and the last few and wish you well. It must be hard work having money coming in in drips and drabs but it's better than nothing at all. You said in your first post about taking paid work alongside your new business - have you managed to find something?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

How kind of you to pop over. Don't blame you for skipping the ramble
I did find a part time job but it was pretty rough ( washing up for 6 hours solid, peeling 20kg of potatoes by hand) you get the picture. Since then we have been managing on what I bring in plus eBay sales. Because my business is so changeable and I need to either be available to do evening meetings and views or events themselves like this Thursday, I am a bit at a loss about taking on fixed hours elsewhere. I have to remember that my main business is the reason I'm doing all the other stuff if that makes sense.
Cash flow projections for Nov and Dec look good so I am going to have a bit of faith:A" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Morning All
Today I will be attempting to get me and the 2 kids to the dentist so I and my son can have a check up. The tricky bit is the surgery is on the 2nd floor up some very steep steps and they have no lift. So I won't be able to use the buggy. Anyone fancy taking a wriggly 1 year old in a sling and trying to keep her from running around the room and pulling everything out whilst I attempt to sit in the dentist's chair? No me neither but I will let you know how that works out
At least it's free or near enough.
Back later

How did the trip to the dentist go? I'm sure there must be regulation regarding access for elderly people, wheelchair users etc. to make access possible for all. I remember when I first moved to the town I live in, there is an opticians on the High Street which had a heavy sliding door as it's entrance, even I struggle to open it so I could imagine that others did too!
Glad Nov/Dec is looking bright for you.

Hope the dentist went ok, without too many antics.
Money outlook for Nov/Dec looks great.0 -
I had to have a filling done with a 1yr old and a 3 yr old in tow. I came up with the idea that if I bought a packet of starburst, it would take the 3 yr old about the right amount of time to unwrap one for his brother and one for him, by which time his brother would need another one unwrapped, and I would have the work finished. The dentist was not pleased about the kids eating sweets, but it also kept them in one place and I did not have to keep jumping up and dragging them back into the room.
Some people just can't get their heads around you having to do everything with the smalls with you. I remember a nurse once saying 'couldn't you leave them somewhere?' I did suggest the carpark really wasn't the place to leave unattended children, then I got 'the look' and 'the sigh' combination.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I'd have done that too.
:rotfl::rotfl: to the leaving the children in the car park, I'd have said that too0 -
Thanks guys. In the end I did take the buggy. I took both kids up to the waiting room checked us in then went back down for the buggy.
Huggle they have what can only be described as a stannah stairlift affair which is flat to the wall with a big sign saying 'need help getting up stairs? Ask at reception' but as it didn't look like the sort of thing you could put a buggy on I didn't bother.
Foxholes yes it's not great having to take children to appointments you'd rather they didn't come to. Good for you coming up with an innovative way of dealing with a tricky situation. Anyone who hasn't dealt with a lack of support network wouldn't understand." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
