    Hi Everyone

Busy old day today as I had an event on. It went really well and I was home by about 3.

I have done a mini dance of celebration today as I have paid my big business bills for the month (rent and rates) 100% from cash flow. Which is the first month I have managed it.

Not masses to report. Hope everyone is keeping out of the rain that seems to be setting in here.

Some good numbers there Bob - the £999 to go in particular! Hope you have a good Sunday planned too.

I'll be sticking around I think - on the TTC thread, though could do with building up some savings too, so I'll pop back into the daily DFW thread too!

    Hi Guys

    Thanks Huggle and PM02

It has been a nice day again. Rained a lot which meant OH had to put off going to do a job at the flat we rent out as it was an outside job. He has been shattered all day and went to bed for 2 hours this afternoon. Either he is feeling the pace of a few bad nights with madam or he isn't over the bug we all had last weekend. It does worry me when he is really exhausted. He is overdue for his health check up (since May) and with his Dad's sudden diagnosis it does make you a little nervous.Im sure he is just tired and nothing more.

Managed to get two loads done and onto the line although the constant showers meant they didn't entirely dry. Still it's all helpful for keeping an eye on the pennies.

Had a lovely chat with DS over a hot chocolate. It's great when they open up about their lives.

Did a roast chicken for dinner and an Eton mess to use up a container of double cream I was given. DD was a bit of a pain and has only just gone to sleep so not much of an evening. But still a good day overall.

    Morning All

So after my cheerful streak the other day I am feeling somewhat flat again. Nothing dire but it's the last week before our money cycle starts again and things are very tight.

We have a bill of £56 going out 1 day before payday. It's always a huge pain tbh. Looking at our account today we only have around that now. So not very realistic to think we can last another week and spend zero.

We did quite a big shop yesterday so I won't need to go today. Just as well with DS off too. Pester power etc.

Huge pain is there is an envelope somewhere between our postbox and the bank containing £55. But it was posted a week ago on Friday and cheques never take more than around 3 days to clear usually. So something has happened. The bank asked me to find out if the funds have been taken at the issuing banks so I have to investigate that. I am going to give it till tommorow and wait and then swing into action. They might just be stuck somewhere.

On the good side I have a small booking this week that will pay me £40 hopefully cash. Then another booking that was going to be £100 but now looks like being £75.
I have £50 left in the business account.

Next week I have a guaranteed £100 plus between £150 and £250 coming for a party.

I need £80 for the remainder of my business bills this month, plus whatever the electric comes to.

If you haven't fallen asleep yet you will probably see why I struggle even though I am making money. Having just paid all the big shop bills it means the account is empty at just the time we start to run empty. It's like riding two horses!!

I think I should have enough in the business purse to transfer the bill money we will need for next Monday. Then we will get our tenants rent on the 25th, and the business pot will have the £200 to £350 in it by end of the 30th.

This is why I find making headway with the repayments hard. I never seem to have enough critical mass in the business account to be able to pay a useful lump sum to us. So far this month I have paid across £150 and paid for various bits of our food shopping by adding it on when I buy stuff for events. Ideally we need me to put £500 in. So bit of a gap.

A long ramble this morning but very useful mentally. Don't worry I'm fine!
