Eek just coming up for air. Of course the sickness didn't end at 7pm did it. Up most of the night, completely vomited over twice. Up for a shower at 2am while OH stripped our bed (of course) and then we all settled down again only to have the same thing happen...it was a long night. When she was ill again at 7am I decided a trip to the doctors was necessary. We managed to make it to the walk in clinic by 9 and get a ticket for the queue. So by 10 we'd seen a doctor and come home. The good news is that the doctor wasn't worried as all her vitals were fine. He just emphasised the need to monitor her fluid intake and output to avoid dehydration. The terrible nappies started and continued up to teatime.
Now DS is playing up a bit with his cold....

Was annoyed that I had to miss harvest festival as it was the first big occasion at his new school. And we've had to cancel our day out to celebrate her 1st birthday tommorow as no one felt like risking D&V in a hire car. Oh well.

Hi Bob hope your DD slept well (and therefore you too) and she hasn't too many after effects of yesterday.

Sounds like the business is progressing well, it's all a learning curve isn't it. If you can access the business coaching it maybe useful (assuming it's not too cost prohibitive). As I business coach myself I know only too well the benefits of coaching ;)

Hope today brings good things to you.

    Hi PF

I didn't know you were a business coach that's so interesting. The one I have seen charges £80 an hour so it's not cheap. But I do think she was good.

    Morning,

Teething is so horrible, poor DD, hope she managed to settle and you had some sleep last night.

Well done on the eBay sales :)

I hope the work side eases, great that the meeting went well though

Thanks PMO2 I think it was definitely a bug rather than teething. Thanks for all the kind words too.

Flashback time!! Oh I remember the time-trial bed stripping so well. Shivers down the backbone!! That is not one you ever remember fondly. :(

I should have taken out shares in breadsticks, the amount my boys gnawed on while teething. I wished the swedish style hard roll things were suitable for us, but they were not (ingredients-wise), they would be fab for biting on.

Hope baby-girl is feeling better this morning, they do shrug things off quickly, leaving you knackered and traumatised, with a pile of laundry like Everest.

Only one week now til Half Term (that has come around too quickly - five weeks gone already???) when you won't have to be messin' about with too many buses.

Happy Friday - try not to worry, baby paracetamol is great stuff, I knocked DH out with it for 4 hours solid the first time we ran out of ib & paracetamol and I told him to try the liquid stuff. 10 minutes and he was totally comatose. Fast acting stuff that.

I still threaten him with it on occassion - squeak! pass the cheese.:rotfl:

    Hello All

We managed to get all the way to 11pm last night and then the sickness happened again. It was horrible as it really upset her and she cried for about 30 mins afterwards. Poor girl. Guess who got hit by the vomit comet. Poor me.
I was expecting another bad night but not a peep. We all got some rest finally.
Today has still been nice despite it not being the 1st birthday dreams are made of. We got her a helium balloon from Toys this morning and managed coffee out complete with cupcake and candle which they said was ok to light. She even had a sip of her first babycino.
I'm finally clear on the washing pile!

In other news after a lot of hard work I now have the venue up on two large web platforms which are searchable for anyone looking for London locations. One is more for big events the other for anyone looking for meeting space, workshops etc. I am really proud of myself for this as it means I am doing all I can to ensure the success of my venture. I have a 3rd submission almost ready to go, but their site is incredibly complicated to use and it has taken me days of doing little bits to get 90% there. Still a win.
I chased up the film production companies contacted last week and have heard back from 4/6 now. It's a constant tap tap tap of the ball to get it rolling I find.

Anyway. A decent end to a difficult week. Have 2 events on tommorow but I'm not required to really be there other than letting in and out and cleaning after each. An easy day :) If Sunday is nice we may try and carry out our plans for the missed day out then.

Foxy you do make me laugh:rotfl: I can only imagine winter bug season X 4:eek: we actually ran out of duvets in the end. :( Today everything seems so much brighter.

The bus thing is a discussion point tbh. I am finding the sprawl of my set up these days troublesome. We live 45 mins walk from the venue. If I say do a viewing at 11am I am then there say 30 mins and if I then walked home to arrive at 12.15 we'd have roughly 2 hours there before I trotted out again. School run and home by 4.30. some nights I have to do an evening view or meeting which means cycling in the dark to get back to the venue and home. It can be a long drawn out days business.

If I had a car I could dot around much easier. But I feel very torn on that. We have done without for 3 years. We don't do weekend trips out as we often haven't got time. A new car, well new to us, would be about £2,000 if we stuck with our usual spend. And I don't have that to spend on a car right now and Im not keen on borrowing. So it is an issue to roll around and consider but nothing is happening anytime soon.

So unwell. Come 3pm yesterday I was starting to feel nauseous. Managed to do the party tea then went to lie down. From then on was up and down to the loo constantly.

Then at 2am my son started being ill too. Now the only person left who isn't sick is my husband. He has had to cover me today for the bookings we have so he was off out at 9 to let the first ones in. Poor guy he was up half the night with our son. you can't cancel though.

DS was supposed to be at a party today as well so I've had to cancel that. Just feel dead.

Oh pox! at least you know it is a 24 hr thing. Me and my big mouth eh? Mine have absolutely no sense of timing. If they are getting anything, it will be the Friday that school breaks up they will start. I mean, what kind of kid gets sick over the holidays??? The week before the holidays, fine! not a problem, but I have plans dammit!! So inconsiderate (and they are sooooo childish).

DH came down with a migraine last night, lost his vision in spots, couldn't see to work his fork (!!) so he has now 72 hours to laze about and blame it on that. He seems fine now, is playing on the xbox with the kids, but is in no fit state to touch a hammer or nail. See, that was supposed to be sympathy, but it just turned out sarcasm. I should have been a nurse.
