I'm just going to be completely honest and say that I had no idea that you had a diary. I feel so RUDE. But guess what I've been doing for the past 2 days? (Besides work, marking, open evenings, dying of man flu etc) That's right, reading your diary. :D So I know you'll forgive my complete ignorance of the past 2 months. I'm here now, and subscribed. Hope you're feeling better as the day has gone on - ups and downs. Just hang on in there.

    Morning All

Well yesterday was the worst day I have had in a while. Managed to

    1. Muddle my diary up and realise I had a meeting at the time the meeting should have happened. Really upset the person who had made a special trip by taxi.
    2. Book the wrong dates for a very important event that I will now have to deal with the computer says no brigade to resolve.
    3. Damage a piece of someone's precious artwork in front of another client. How bad can you get??

I just felt utterly dead by bedtime.

However. I some how also converted a rather protracted series of enquiries into a solid booking & managed to get to the deposit taking stage with another. And somehow the messed up meeting is rescheduled and the customer is interested in booking. Altogether this represents £700 of business before end of December.

I had a chat with OH last night and he feels so bad he can't do more to help. But I feel he already does everything he can and far more than many partners I hear of. I just desperately need a proper routine with all of this. I thought I was doing so well managing a big admin session this week. But it's not enough.
I think my old role was much more turn up and see what the day brought whereas at the moment I've been dealing with moving targets as in, person x wants a Saturday but person Y wants 4 days and won't share space so I'm back to the drawing board on person x. You need proper time sat at a computer not working off a very bad smartphone (bought cheap to replace my lovely stolen one)

Anyway. What a jumble of thoughts. Today as far as I know I have 1 meeting and one to land. So an easier day. But there is a big event tommorow that I am stressing about in case it goes badly. I'm not involved, it's a private affair. And Sunday a big party to be super organised for.

    Happy Friday.

    Bob
