We love that part of London and like you say it is the main station we would use with the children for days out etc. I am taking the children to London in a few weekends to see my step sister and will not be put off. The vast majority of people are lovely and kind and as we said London is a fab place for the children. Sending hugs xx

Good for you Emmie. It's a quote that you see all the time but it's the one about wherever there a trouble there are people helping out, it's so very true.

Glad to hear that you and yours are safe and well Bob. It really is close to home. Borough is an area that my friends and I go to a lot. Really horrified at the world today.

Thanks Silver Queen. Appreciate the sentiment. I'm glad you were not there last night either. Let's hope a better week is coming.

    Morning Guys

Well. Things are very much white knuckle ride again. 3.5 weeks into a dead period. I swear to god I am never going to write about how well I am doing ever again! Its almost unbelievable. One minute you have enquiries coming out of your behind, & cash flow surging, the next it just fell away and I have nothing on the horizon really. Talk about inconsistent.

I spent the last 2 weeks working my tail off on a commision only deal that I came up with myself. For nothing. Not a bean. Ok I've learnt a lot but right now that aint paying the bills.

I have always noticed how much the school calendar affects things for me. It was always the same in the old business too. So Im wondering if that is the issue. You cant underestimate just how much people try to sit on their pennies with holidays coming up, and now as my husband pointed out, people are just coming back from holidays, or back and dealing with the backlog of things to sort out after being away.

I usually get a very busy week when payday hits for most people, so say from the 25th to the 5th this time? Nada. This is why it is so worrying. I have rent to pay on the 15th and at the moment I have no idea where its coming from.

It really is same old same old in this diary. One minute I think I have a business, the next its tumble weed time.

Im staying on the positive side. I've generated 42 leads so far this week and working them all. And I've just taken a decision to pay for an ad in the local paper, which I did last year and didnt get any results, but hopefully with 9 months under the bridge since then, and more people knowing about us, it might be enough to nudge someone into action. If I can sell 5 events before next week I will manage to just scrape by....

    Have a good day everyone!

    Bob

Hope things improve, I'm self employed too and it's very hard never knowing what money you have coming in. You seem to work so hard, I hope it pays off soon.

Oh no what a nightmare, it really do take balls of steel to be self employed, when there is no work it is a nightmare, but then when you are busy you daren't turn people away so end up working silly hours. Fingers crossed things pick up for you xx
