  • Sounds like a productive day/week! I hate drivers who don't think about the logistics of being a cyclist - I used to cycle everywhere for work and couldn't believe how many idiots there were on the roads.

    Hope you got to drink your tea in peace :)
    Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
    Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.

    I now have visions of you cycling along with platters of leftovers balanced precariously on the bike!

    Wishing you all a lovely few days away together.

    Thank you! There are. But I have seen enough of my fellow cyclists belt through red lights to put all the blame one way. I won't say they are all MAMILs either but :eek:

    Well. What a vision. :rotfl: but my enormous paniers are usually sufficient. If it starts getting really good, I may buy a sidecar :D

    Thanks Apple:D

    Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭

    Hi All

    Well day one of half term has been good. OH took DS and his friend out this morning and I went to the business to meet a consultant who was coming to review security at the venue. On our way back we walked up some of the biggest hills in the area. It was the quickest way but also the gradient plus pushing a buggy had me puffing. Plus it was also very warm and I still had my winter coat on. Spring is definitely on the way.

    Wealth

    * A rather big one today, had a call to tell me that my new business account will be open in three days. And I have the 25 month's free banking.
    As I currently average £20 per month ( you have to pay to have Direct debits, pay in cheques, cash and anything else they feel like charging you for) this saving will be a min of £500 per year!!

    * Annoying and rude last minute cancellation for a small amount. Some people are just so flaky.

    * Two new enquires today.

    * The enquiry I was pleased about last week is still in play ( the one with the good social media connections) had another message today.

    * Have cancelled a small DD of £5 per month that is no longer needed.

    Health

    * Have been living on caffeine today as totally pooped. I could really have done without the 10am meeting, which turned into 10.30 anyway as no chance to rest after the odd hours of the weekend.

    Organisation

    * As we go away mid week I meal planned on the low side. Cooked an extra large chicken tonight, with roast vegetables, and cooked green beans etc and we all had roast dinner. Tommorow night I will make chicken curry. As there is a whole tub of chicken left I will do sandwiches to take on the train as well. The carcass is doing stock now.

    * Checked all banking.

    Think that's it today.

    Bob
