  • Hi Bob, hope you have a nice time away from the ups and downs of work. Sorry to hear of the cancelled bookings but I've no doubt that they will quickly be filled, you are a very proactive person so you will find some more contacts soon.

Good news on the business banking rates though, that will be most welcome!

    Hi All

Back from our break. Was great to be away but as always nice to be home.

    Wealth

    * £7.50 spent since Wednesday. 2 NSDs.

    * Took a new booking this morning not massive but it helps.

    * Oddly our First Utility DD hasn't been taken. I checked twice today and nope it's still there. As we have only just switched banks I thought it could be that but the DD is listed so not sure why that happened. Have emailed.

    * Just this weekend to get through then payday Monday. We do need groceries as I'd bought very little this week due to going away. But should be able to get away with £10 to £20.

    * Very much in two minds about the DFD payment now. Is it better to make that last payment knowing March is my last normal month money wise, with the hope that I somehow manage to wing April? Or hold back any funds this month in preparation for a bad month in April. One to ponder.

    * Enquiries for work still coming daily.

    * Forget, I tried the new Martin Lewis Credit report, and got 979 out of 999 so pretty pleased about that. My only downside was low income. But if we applied for a new mortgage for example there should be no issue as we are combining finances where as if I wanted a loan on my own I'd struggle.

    Health

    * We were staying by the sea for the past few days. The storm hit us quite hard and Thursday was a bit of a write off. Today was amazing though. Blue skies, really quite warm, all of us are slightly red. We pottered around on the beach, took the kids to the playground there and walked into the village for a mooch. All good for the soul.

    Organisation

    * Almost caught up with the washing backlog from flea gate.

    * Did lots of cleaning and organisation at the in-laws this week

    * Back to the usual hours this weekend. Need to organise shopping & meal plan around that.

    Night.

    Bob

For peace of mind I'd hang on to the money so it's available for a lean April if necessary and if not needed then you can pay it off the debt a little later. Win win!

  • I'm glad you got out on your break. I am absolutely sure you will replace the business especially with enquiries coming in daily but I agree with Verbatim to wait until you know the extra payment won't leave you short.
