A depressing realisation

            :wave: Hello lovelies!
 I'm happily finishing things off an binning them almost every week - but I have had a couple of hiccups.
 I bought scarily cheap Value shampoo and conditioner from Tesco - but only my son is really using it! To be honest I have a lot of shampoo stashed, but I had this half @r$ed idea that I could alternate between an old fave and the Tesco Value to keep the old fave going longer.
 My hair refused to cooperate however - and I don't have time for the lengthy knot detangling and proper styling with a hair dryer and brush that the Tesco value stuff required so I'm only using my usual stuff which is much more wash and go. (head down and blast for 90 secs is enough with my usual shampoo & conditioner!)
 So I've bought my usual reliable conditioner...although the Tesco experiment only cost me 88p so I can't moan!
 My hubby is using 13p Value Shower gel from Tesco but he has mentioned that he prefers the moisturising ones I usually get.
 So when this runs out I might have to buy him some moisturising shower gel...
 And...
 I've run out of Touche Eclat!!!
 I'm managing though. I've got a product from Benefit in my stash which I don't like as much, but which does the job, plus I tried some Skin lights highlighter under my eyes and I really liked the effect so I might experiment a bit more with that.
 (I've put Touche Eclat on my Christmas list though. ) )
 I think my mascara is on the way out now though..!
 Oh, and I bought an eye shadow set at a Virgin Vie party cos some "ladies" was saying that somebody was a cheapskate cos she left without buying anything and I felt self conscious.
 How's everybody else doing?

In fact last month i bought my first toothpaste in almost 2 years. Looks like i'll still have a way to go before i need to buy shower gel shampoo or conditioner and i use the latter as a replacement for saving foam!
 Ps i don't smell and am clean and brush my teeth! lol0

            I've managed to get it for YSL touche eclat for £14.95 online. I think it was from buycosmetics.com. May have been a special offer though.0

            What a relief to find others with the same problem. My friend thought I was a total freak when we counted up that I had 150 nail varnishes (but only 2 duplicates) - and that was probably the smallest of my cosmetic stash. Now I have a small bag of favourites that I use for going out, and, unfortunately for my work colleagues, a wooden set of drawers full of the rest of the carp that I am slowly working through - including free samples. I cringe at the thought of some of the colour combinations I must have gone out in, but the light in the bedroom isn't very good so I can't tell all that well what I look like when I put it on!
 My only gripe - I had to bin my touche eclat, whilst it admirably covered the dark circles, it also brought me out in an allergic reaction. The only makeup I have every had a bad reaction to, bummer!1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!!:dance: DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0

            I too am a total beauty buff and used to spends oodles on expensive make up ranges.
 Then I joined an American-based makeup review website and got switched on to some cheaper products that do the job as well as if not better.
 I also used to be an advertiser's dream, snapping up new products even if I had plenty of my previous fave left.
 Now I have my favourites and work through then until they're gone.
 I buy a lot of makeup brands from US ebay as with the dollar being the way it is it still saves cash even with postage.
 Even so I still need to cut back on my makeup urges, so if anyone wants to reduce their stash by sending me some bits and pieces then feel free, lol!DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0

            Hey all,
 I am so glad I don't buy make-up, I don't know what to do with it and end up looking like a prat! It's all so expensive too!
 My friend stayed at mine for a couple of weeks, while she was between homes, and I was amazed at the sheer amount of lotions and potions and make-up that was suddenly spread around my bathroom!
 The only thing I buy, apart from the usual shampoo etc, is Lynx shower gel as I love the smell of Lynx.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

            <stands up>
 Hello, my name is Scarlett and I am a cosmetic-aholic
 <sits down, shame faced>
 But.......... I have made about £180 in the last few weeks flogging a LOT of it on ebay, stuff I'd used once or twice and then decided I didn't like it / couldn't be bothered / too much of a faff. I [STRIKE]am[/STRIKE] used to be an advertisers dream - promise me younger / smoother / wrinkle free skin? I'm there credit card at the ready :rolleyes:
 That was the old me though New Scarlett is selling it all as fast as I can get it listed and I'm telling you, they SNAP it up on ebay. As long as you're honest (don't say it's brand new if it isn't!) and realistic with your prices then the stuff will sell, especially if, like me, you had a tendancy for the er..... higher range priced stuff New Scarlett is selling it all as fast as I can get it listed and I'm telling you, they SNAP it up on ebay. As long as you're honest (don't say it's brand new if it isn't!) and realistic with your prices then the stuff will sell, especially if, like me, you had a tendancy for the er..... higher range priced stuff
 I have enough make up and nail varnishes to last me to the next millenium but to be fair, I do use it, every day (have turned into my mother, can't even put the bin out without 'my face on'!)
 Now, instead of buying it I'm selling it! As well as ebaying all my unwanted stuff I'm now an Avon lady, my friends things it's VERY appropriate, apparently I'm VERY qualified to be selling cosmetics and make up :rotfl:You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that
